[W] Painted werewolves, cats, and dogs have no textures
Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.93.129.1030
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All expansion packs. All game packs other than StrangerVille and Journey to Batuu. All Stuff Packs other than Luxury Party Stuff, Spooky Stuff, Movie Hangout Stuff, and Bowling Night Stuff. All of the following kits: Bust the Dust, Blooming Rooms, Moonlight Chic, Little Campers, and Desert Luxe.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? 1: From the main menu, enter Create A Sim via the New Game button. 2: Load in a werewolf, cat, or dog by either the Add a Sim button in the lower left corner of the screen, or via the gallery. 3: Exit to the main menu via the Cancel button in the lower right corner of the screen. 4: Again, enter Create A Sim via the New Game button in the main menu. 5: Load in a werewolf, cat, or dog that has been painted with the Paint Mode button in Create A Sim. I have only loaded these sims from my personal library in the gallery tab so far.
What happens when the bug occurs? The fur on the cat, dog, or werewolf sim's wolf form will appear black and textureless. This is removed if the custom paint from the paint mode is removed, but of course that prevents one from using custom fur patterns as well.
What do you expect to see? Normal looking fur, regardless of whether Paint Mode has been used or not.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No
I know this issue was supposedly fixed in the recent patch to the game, but it has still happened to me, unfortunately. A workaround for the time being is to restart the game. If you attempt to place the werewolf or pet again, the fur should appear normally. However, if you again exit Create A Sim and enter it again without restarting, placing in werewolves or pets again, the issue reappears. I have attached images showing what exactly this looks like. This only seems to happen if Paint Mode has been used. Non-painted werewolves, cats, or dogs appear normally.
