Why are my Sims' base body templates changing?

So, almost a year now I've been experiencing this bug, and I still don't have a satisfactory solution.

The only fix that I've found to be moderately successful is by using MCCC and flagging sims 'freeze appearance' and 'freeze physique'. However, this doesn't ALWAYS work (especially if you wait any amount of time to do it after a sim has aged up), plus it sucks having to do it for more than a couple of sims at a time (let alone a town or world), and it prevents sims from getting fat/thin or muscular/weak (thereby leaving no consequences for diet or exercise).

    Oh, and I stopped playing legacy games for this reason alone.

      @crinrict No, I never did get around to that. Honestly, I just didn't have the spoons to deal with it. And in my current save file, I only play one sim, so it doesn't affect me as much.

      When I decide to try a legacy game again, I will send a save file if I come across the issue.

    I’m a bit late, but I had this problem with MCCC. I solved the problem by selecting MCCC from the computer and going to MC CAS. From there I chose “apply appearance template,” where I realized I had “age-up checking” selected. I changed it back to “manual checking” and the problem stopped immediately.

      I turned off apply template in MCCC too and the changes on age up and childbirth are still occurring randomly. One odd thing I noticed- on sims this occurs on when I go in and create a new sim using genetics and create twin, the twin looks nothing like the sim who changed on age up.
