Hi, Crin
Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. Here ya go.

That looks ok. You could maybe update your graphics drivers but I doubt that's the cause for your issue.
Could you post a video of the lag you're seeing and also start a new game for testing purposes to see if it's save game related or a general issue.
- ja42010 years agoSeasoned VeteranHi Crin,
It looks like the issue is fixed. Nvidia released a driver update this morning and it seems the issue is ok now. I'll keep a watch if it repeats. Thanks for your help.- Anonymous10 years ago
I find it enjoyable to convince myself as well however that problem would be data-related if it only occurs at one lot during one specific work event. It would indicate that the task queue is being delayed by background processes which are either returning errors or pending completion. This problem is common where lot data has been corrupted to a point where spawning or summoning of service sims causes unreported errors, or actions fail due to core modifications or corruption of core data. There is never a driver-related condition where one scripted event fails and everything else works perfectly.

@ja420 Checking your dxdiag I'm thinking the GT 730 video card may be a bit weak for this game. My gaming machine is a AMD 6100 with a GTX 550 Ti video card and play TS4 very well. This computer even plays Fallout 4 very well. I've been looking for an excuse to upgrade or replace my aging gaming computer but if it works don't fix it.
@Deckete Please post your computer's dxdiag. First guess you may have the same problem as ja420.
add: there are three versions of the GT 730. Even the higher end 730 has entry level gaming specs.
- ja42010 years agoSeasoned VeteranI'm not sure what you mean by weak. I have a 2GB of memory on my video card. It's never been a problem before, but I thank you for your input.

I just downloaded your save (haven't tried it yet) but that file is HUGE. I first thought that was a whole folder but it's just one save.
I would be surprise if that didn't lag.
I'll give it a try anyways but either your save is seriously bloated or it's just gotten to big.
Do you have older files and do you see a jump in size somewhere ?
EDIT:
I can reproduce it although it's not happening for all interactions for me. I have definite delays on the menu showing up.
My computer is a bit old it is running my save fine.
@Deckete You said, yours is 220 MB which is even bigger then @ja420
In comparison: Mine is 13 MB. I don't have a lot of huge houses in mine but I'm on generation 6 now and started it with GT. Played it awhile.
Doing more testing.
EDIT EDIT: So, it got worse after the Sim got back to the station from the crime scene and I see partial dead locks (not as bad as with teen homework). It seems that the Sim is waiting for other Sims to complete their actions before continuing with theirs.
I've added this thread to this post: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4-Bug-Reports/Performance-Issues-Compiled-List-of-Threads/m-p/5095262#M20840
Could you please provide the other info asked there (although your save might be enough).
Forwarding your save.
Keep doing the trick you used up to now as a workaround until this can get fixed.
