[WORKAROUND] Can't put stacks from Sims inventory to the fridge

After 11/04/2014 update I can't put any stack of fruits or vegetables in my sim's inventory directly to the fridge. My only solution is to place the item in the room (only one piece), then I can move...

    I have the same issue too. You don't have to drag your fruits/ingredients to the floor first though. Use the "open" interaction on the fridge and drag it into the space that opens on the right of the screen.

    My game has absolutely no mods.

Actually, I don't understand the solution. Capajebo's solution is to use "open" interaction on the fridge. But it is unavailable in the build mode where's the family inventory is located!

I will try to reproduce, although it is not easy. First, items must appear in the family inventory. However, in my described case I moved my sim to other lot by asking other sim to allow him to move and chose not to sell furniture. Items in the fridge appeared in the family inventory. In contrary, if I move a sim from the Manage Worlds and choose Keep furniture, all items are sold and appeared in my family inventory but without items from the fridge. So, there are inconsistencies and the second one even contradicts the description. I will try to reproduce whenever I do in the same way. I suppose, there is a difference between collected wild harvest and planted in your own lot. Not sure which ones could not be moved into the fridge.

    I think there's also an issue with produce your Sims buy on retail lots. They are always bugged out for me and appear in inactives inventory (which they shouldn't).

    Also there's a thread for not able to move stack of items to other Sims so it might all be connected

    Yours might be slightly different though since it's family inventory.

    Only solution that comes to mind is to move everything to inventory before moving.

      Well, reproduced it. However, this time I could grab none of the items from the floor. Maybe, because I had them few. Collected 10 of each wild plant: carrots, strawberries, mushrooms and onions. Planted by 1 and waited for the first harvest. 2 mushrooms collected. Thus, I had 9 carrots, 9 strawberries, 11 mushrooms and 9 onions before asking to move to a new lot. Family inventory have lost some of my harvested items, probably the game uses some ratio of compensation. There were 2 carrots, 2 strawberries, 4 mushrooms and 2 onions in the family inventory. Which were none movable, and I tried to drag them both to the sim inventory and to the opened fridge. There was no mouse hand cursor, simply the screen moved out of the sight when I tried to drag.

      This issue has not been fixed at all.  If you move a family to a new household, taking along your furniture, and your fridge has veg/fruit, etc., in it, they will be moved to your household inventory.  All you can do from there is to sell it or move them ONE ITEM AT A TIME to the floor or ground or whatever surface will accept them.  Going back into live mode, if you click on one of them, you have a choice to eat" or "plant" the produce item, but you never get the hand cursor in order to move it.  I even tried resetting the object and still couldn't do anything else with it.  As someone else said, this is NOT the Sim's personal inventory, this is the Household Inventory in Build Mode where the items are automatically relocated to.  If you can't recover them to put them back where they belong, why are they placed into the household inventory?  I consider this a bug in the sense that somebody programming this stuff didn't realize what was going to happen in this situation.  But it should be fixed, AND it should be made possible to move an entire stack (or divide a stack) if you want to.  I know the same problem existed in every MMO I've played, and it was realized that was a poor system and it was fixed in there.  The Sims have been around a LONG time, and it's about time this got changed as well.

        I wanted to edit my above post as I found out something.  It is not the produce that WAS in the fridge, that is still in the fridge.  It is the produce that was on the plants that were growing in the pots or ground when I moved.  I got my plants as well as the produce growing on them, but I was unable to do anything with the produce that had been growing because of the problem picking them up off the ground.  All I could do was eat, plant, or sell them.  So I sold them.  The other problem, however, is that none of my plant pots, either round or square came along with me.
