[WORKAROUND] Sims don't move anymore

I also had this problem, I closed the game then opened Origin, right clicked on The Sims 4 and clicked repair game. I let it do its thing and it worked fine.

Hello all,

We would like to gather some more information if you encounter issues with Sims not moving. Could you please post a link to  a .rar or .zip archive of the following files?

Simply upload the archive to a 1-click hosting service like dropbox and contact me by PM with the Link and the information.

The files/info we would need - the files can will be located in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4:

1. lastCrash.txt (if it exists. If there is more than one, please include all of them.)
2. lastException.txt (if it exists. If there is more than one, please include all of them.)
3. lastUIException.txt (if it exists. If there is more than one, please include all of them.)
4. Config.log
5. The entire saves folder
6. Please list any mods you use.

I have also had all of these problems. I've tried every fix and solution recommended in this thread and still nothing is working. It's ridiculous and makes the game completely unplayable. 

Try resetting your user files as described in the factory reset described in this post: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4/FAQ-Troubleshooting-Steps-amp-Known-Issues/m-p/3621199

You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files  and make a backup.

Try on a new game with nothing added back first (start new game). If it works, put back your save game and try again. If it still works, you can start putting stuff back.

• Options.ini (or just re-set all your settings manually)
• Tray Folder
• Screenshots/Videos/Custom music
• Rest of the save games (leave out slot_00000001.save which is the autosave)
• Custom content like clothing, hair, skins, make up ....
• Mods (one by one, making sure they all still work)

The rest does not need putting back, cause they are mostly cache files that recreate or log files that are not needed for the game.

This solution actually worked for me, so thank you very much!! I'd definitely recommend this to the others in this forum that are still having issues.

It does not work except for walking then it's back to the stuck state. ALL of my sims were created using CC and they were doing fine. 

Are you also using mods in your game ? Have you tried removing them ?

Since this has become a bit of a collection of things and is more of a symptom than an actual bug, I'm going to close this thread.

Feel free to make a new one if you still see a similar issue.

Please be very specific as to when it occurs and only report on vanilla games.
