[WORKAROUND] Time Control Keys stop working after a while

After playing for several hours, with no issues whatsoever, I saved and quit. 

When I restarted the game later my time control keys (`,1,2, and 3) no longer worked. Manual time controls (by clicking in the hud) still work, though.

I found the bug in the listed bugs thread and it said that restarting the game could help. 

I restarted my game and the same problem persists. I restarted my entire computer and still the keys don't work. Unplugged my keyboard and reconnected it. No effect.

Other keys such as tab, <, >, -,+ for camera control do work. I am in the Sims 3 camera view option. I tried to change that back and forth and it had no affect on the issue. 

Literally brought this computer home last night from rebuilding it to run this game, and it runs great besides this hiccup. Do you guys want pc specs here? Or are we just compiling the current bugs?

    I find that after I play for a little while, the 1,2, and 3 keys will start working again.  I'm not sure what I've done to make it work again though.  Someone said to press "Enter" and it will work.  I haven't tried this, so I'll give it a go.

    Are you a hot key user? Why aren't you? If you are, aren't, want to be, or always thought to yourself "I should be!" - then you should know, hitting the space bar will no longer disable the M key from taking you to Manage Worlds.
    • M key, it’s not just another key… it’s a hot key.

    The M Key issue was addressed in Patch 1.24.102

    Don't know if the time key also are still an issue

    The time keys are still an issue for me. Restart tends to fix it (for a little bit), but naturally that's incredibly annoying and a deterrent to play.

    OK. Thanks for the report.

    Does it happen on a regular basis ? Did you pay attention if you're pressing any specific keys or doing any specific interactions when it happens ?

    So I know this is old but for the past couple days I haven’t been able to use the number keys to change time. I’ve reset my game many times, pressed p, pressed enter, pressed esc, changed some of my settings, gone into the map, changed my household and traveled. Anyone got any ideas?

    Yep, same here.  Still got this asinine bug after four years, EA?  Still begging users to do your work for you on troubleshooting and solving it?  Have you guys hired any coders yet by chance?

    Let me know when y'all get this sorted; I'll play then.
