[XB] Controller disconnected error when using mouse/keyboard

like… i just got back from hiatus and i never had this problem!! i cant leave my controller on at all times, batteries are expensive af where i am!

    Hi there @bee-lynsims,

    Let's try the following steps to see if we can get this cleared up for you:

    Try a full power-cycle on your console:

    1. Turn off the console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds. This will shut down your console completely.
    2. Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 30 seconds so the power supply is reset.
    3. Plug the console power cable back in.
    4. Press the Xbox button on your console to turn on the Xbox.

    Check for any firmware updates for your controller.

    If these steps don't help, be sure to let me know!

      @EA_Solaire lol that’s not what i asked for, before the updates it worked just fine but now all of the sudden i cant play without my controller being on? like i said previously, i play with keyboard and mouse plugged in and i’ve never had any issues. this isn’t on my end, it’s on theirs.

        We'll create a bug report for this, but first we need to see if the issue is resolved through troubleshooting. Run through the above steps, and let me know if the issue persists please.
