@indiecait and @Weavergirl87 I'll link the console troubleshooting steps here for you to see if anything here helps.
But as a first step you could try clearing locally saved data and then doing a data sync to sync up with the cloud. If you haven't done that before, when your game is not running just use the menu button (3 lines) on Sims 4 on your console home screen to go to Manage Game and Add-ons. On the next screen go to Saved Data. Open that and you'll see 2 sets of data, go for the smaller set of data next to your gamertag and select delete from console only at this stage. Then immediately load your game. You should see it doing a data sync during the loading process. Then see if that's made any difference for you.
If not then there's more advanced help in the steps above.
@simsplayer818 hi thanks for replying. Just tried to do the steps below but only data that is there is one that is with my username at 1.1gb and reserved space installed on internal storage at 1.0 gb, do you mean the reserved storage? Sorry just am confused .
Thank you

@indiecait No need to apologise, here's an image of mine attached (including the mortifying name that was picked for me when I got my first Xbox) so I would pick the first set next to my username and just choose delete from console, but not the reserved space.
It's usually a safe first step to take and can resolve a lot of problems. It should be retrieved during the data sync process once you load your game. It's always worked for me.
I wonder if the file size is causing a problem. Once you are in your game I'd clear some space. So I'd clear some items from your library, I keep mine almost empty and even deleted all the premade lots from it. I'd clear any excess Townies from Other Households too (I do this daily as more are generated regularly) and clear all inventories from previously played Sims and Households as well, I even clear fridges. I'm running the full game with all packs and my file size is considerably smaller. I run maximum 3 save games, right now I just have 2 saves. So cutting down on saved items may help. I find it makes a big difference. Watch out for stored photos too if you have any because on console that can cause problems as well.

@simsplayer818 Hi thanks again for the advice, I did what you suggested then managed to delete all lot of townies and cleared the library and fingers crossed, I just tried a quick game saved and closed and seems to have solved it! I am so grateful thank you. I hope the other people having the issue see this and it helps them. Thanks again 🙂 @Weavergirl87
maybe try the above advice 🙂
- simsplayer8189 months agoHero@indiecait That's great news. I actually checked my current file size yesterday after seeing yours and it's also about 3 times as big as usual. So I think that's very useful information you provided when you shared your file size because it's not something we look at every day unless there's a problem. Moving forward that might be a really important thing to get Xbox players to check on as these problems are investigated. So thanks for that.
I'd check Townies regularly as you go forward and keep deleting random ones, it's generating way too many but we've passed that feedback on so fingers crossed that's addressed at some point.
Good luck!
