After the update which I installed, the service crashed. After the XBox Lives is back up, this game refuses to load. Sergeant LawWonder ain't too happy about this. The full shutdown, unplug then plug back in and start up the console didn't do jack. Fix this game!
Same here, exactly the same spot. however mine gets to 3/4 of the way but not any further.
is this just the game having problems after the update? i really want to play, has ea mention anything about fixing it?
I waited no joke 1h 40 minutes because of how desperate i was to play, but it just never got anywhere.
im used to freezing problems while loading and playing but after the recent anniversary update, it freezes on 3/4 of the way and doesnt get further than that.
mine stops at 3/4 but still doesnt get any further.
I've waited for about 1h 40 minutes once( i was desperate to play) but no luck.
Same i played rdo and gtao as well as fortnite, but sims wont work
its the same for me, im starting to think its sims itself and i hope that ea will fix it soon !!
i did this, waited for about the same time as you, but when i wanted to play again it wont load, and ive waited just as long again if not even longer :/

@CommishLawWonderNot to mention that deleting the save from my Hard Drive and restoring from the cloud did nothing either. EA, if you're reading these complaints, this is the reason why you get so much hate from the community. This. I have this same issue. Xbox live finally comes back and the Sims 4 now refuses to load. I attached an image of where it stops for me.
And it’s definitely an issue with just the Sims 4 because I played Ark: Survival Evolved first when Xbox live came back and have had zero issues loading and starting that up.
Same. Tried everything people mentioned here. I’m letting it run for now and if it hits an hour I’m turning it off finally.
I let it run for two hours (got busy with other things and forgot I had it going). It finally installed. I haven’t tried running a second time yet but my advice right now for the first time is just let it run in the background for however long it takes. Some people on Twitter said the same thing. Hopefully it loads as usual the next time I try and was just related to the update install.
I have Sims 4 for the xBox One S. I’ve had no problems for years. Sometimes when I travel I’ll bring it with me and it’ll connect to new networks with no problems. Even now, I’ve lived in a college dorm with a community router for five months and I’ve had no problems with it. However, about a week ago, the game started to freeze on the loading screen after signing into the desired account. As far as I can tell, the game is up to date. I have tried connecting and reconnecting to my WiFi’s 2G and 5G options and even my phone’s hotspot, but it will never finish loading. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the game and tried loading it from different accounts. I’ve tried going offline and switching to online and unplugging the console. Since I’m on a community router I don’t have direct access to the router and can’t reset it. All other games and apps work fine.
What baffles me the most is that I can’t think of a catalyst or trigger for why this is happening. Nothing is different. The game will start up. I’ll press A and it will take me to the screen where it asks who’s playing. I select the user and it takes me to the loading screen that precedes the menu where you load games, start new games, or start scenarios. I never get to this menu. The plumbob stops at about 80% of the bar and freezes to the point that the xBox and controller fall asleep. I would hate to lose all the money and time I’ve put into my packs and worlds.

What happens when the bug occurs? Good Afternoon, I was playing sims earlier and I made a save. This may be just a technical issue or a serious bug. Anyway, midway through I decided to change a trait. (My sim already had an additional trait). However when I did this I noticed that I couldn't edit anything after. So I closed my game off, restarted it and well now it won't load at all, no matter what account I use so I can't play, at all. Any tips? Has anyone encountered this before? Is there a known cause and fix? I really don't want to have to reinstall or clear my reserved space and lose everything

deleting the reserved space wont make you lose anything, so you could give that a try.
Ive been having issues with the Sims 4 for well over a year. I have tried literally everything including:
-Clearing my xboxs cache
-Loading in offline mode
-Ensuring everything is downloaded properly
-Deleting literally everything off my consoles library except the sims 4 and the apps required by Microsoft so i have 725 free gigs of memory on my console
-Deleting the local save and clearing reserved space
-Restarted the entire game under a different user profile losing literally years of gameplay
-Deleted all the game and add ons and waited 3 hours for it to all download again
-Resetting my Xbox completely
-Spending $150 to have my Xbox opened and cleaned professionally
Literally nothing seems to work, ive spent over $700 on the Sims 4 over the years and its insane that i cant even play the game properly. Even when it does load a lot of times the majority of the lot and the textures are totally blacked out. It literally usually takes me upwards of 30 minutes to 2 hours just to get the game to properly load in order to be able to play. When i can get it to load properly i dont have any other issues its just in trying to get it to load so i can play.
If the game was free i woudlnt care but again ive spent $700 on this game and its add ons and its the only game i want to play anymore on my $300 console.,,
The Sims TeamI've reset my Xbox fully about 30 times, removed and re installed the games multiple times but it won't launch past the opening screen, I've even switched to another Xbox and bought a new one but it still doesn't work.
My Xbox 1 is stuck on the startup screen (spinning diamond) for Sims 4. I tried turning off the network and also rebooting. Any help is appreciated.
