3D-printed sims?!

I just got this idea: How about an application that convert sim files into files that a 3D printer can use? Then our sims can be printed out like dolls! How nice would that be? Let it work with both TS3 and TS4 sims.

Be nice to me if it isn't possible. I know nothing about 3D printing. But there are companies that make 3D printed figurines of people.

I once thought of this. Given how, in the time since TS4 was launched, 3D printers have gotten cheaper and cheaper, they're just as accessible as paper printers. Halfway decent starter level printers are like $150. I paid that for my new office printer this week.

Definitely easier than trying to extract the game files, and then try to convert them in CAD software like Autodesk. Simply having it as a utility, download the proper files, send them to Shapeways or your own 3D printer (or a library's), and your done.

Old thread, but I still like the idea, so it was worth a bump.
