I would love for sims to have their own money accounts.
Sometimes I play roommies and eventually they part and go their separate ways. I would like for them to keep the money they earned, or have some gameplay around them dealing with managing their money.
EA could simplify the interface for managing money. Say the household has an automated money system and you can decide in a simple interface how much a percentage each sim contributes to bills. Maybe sims can get annoyed with their roommies if they feel they are unfairly paying too much and the other sim too little.
Perhaps you can even buy things directly from a sims personal account and that object is identified as being owned by the sim who bought it. When you move out everything that they spent their personal funds on moves automatically with them.
I would also like housing loans. It doesn't have to be complicated. all you have to do is go to the bank, borrow the money, and the interest is just added to the bill. Sims can instantly have the money to buy a nice home, but have larger bills, and the potential of not being able to afford it and get into financial trouble.
Of course you should be able to opt-out if you want to keep the system we are used to.
