Misty and Ivan, though, what a couple! All the pictures are spot-on.

@gothprincess4ever They've become the ultimate power couple. Definitely a long way away from, an overworked uni student and a pizza delivery boy. They definitely never saw themselves where they are now.

Also, can I just say how much I love the play animation? So, so cute. Wrench and Mesh always stealing my heart.

Mesh's First Winterfest

While Mesh is taking a nap, the rest of the family is starting in on decorating the tree. Little Ellery decides to take charge to make the tree perfect. She's in a bit of a mood.

While everyone grabs food and a nap, Wrench looks at the tree. A job well done.

Mesh sees the tree for the first time. "What's this?" she wonders.

Everyone gathers around to open presents and one of the Father Winters makes an appearance.

Ellery has been kinda mopey. After a talk, Ellery admits she feels left out since everyone is so focused on Mesh. Misty gives her daughter a big cuddle to show her that she is loved.

A Day at the Park

Right before New Years the family gets together and goes to the Toddler Park. Despite its name, the park wasn't just for toddlers, but also children. It was a great way for both Mesh and Ellery to have fun.

The day started off with Ellery reaching out to Mesh and playing with her.

The two's relationship grew and they became friends. It was a bright start to the morning.

Once they got to the park. Mesh demanded a hug from her father. Wrench was happy to oblige. He wondered if Mesh was a little intimidated by all the people.

Well if she was intimidated it was soon forgotten as she immediately ran to the jungle gym to play Spacesport. How fitting.

Ellery went to the monkey bars where she met another boy. Honestly, all she met were boys. Ivan suddenly felt the urge to cloud gaze right by where his daughter was talking to a boy. Surrre. You're not fooling anyone, Ivan.

Ellery doesn't mind her Dad at all, and instead shows off her tricks on the monkey bars.

Eventually, Ivan leaves his daughter alone, but is grabbed by little Mesh who asks for Ivan to teach her some shapes. What an inquisitive mind.

After a while, the parents decide to take a break and chew on some grilled cheese sandwiches, Misty had packed for them. Though one parent is missing?

Wrench is back with Mesh, playing pirates at the jungle gym. A father's job is never done.

Misty decides to play chess and is immediately joined by a guy trying to chat her open. Both mother and daughter seem to draw the boys. Guess it runs in the family.

Just as the day is about to wrap up, Ellery has a temper tantrum.

Misty goes over and firmly tells Ellery to stop. Ellery immediately regrets her actions. In some ways Misty is happy to see Ellery have a temper tantrum, since her daughter has always been obedient and well-mannered. She wants her daughter to loosen up a little, but she's concern about her showing off due to feeling neglected. It was something they would need to work on.

Toddlers Park - Newcrest Children's Park

I love this place. There aren't many places designed with a toddler in mind and it's nice to be able to take them places. Especially since this place, in particular, I can let them run around freely without worrying too much about their needs. I pretty much didn't have to change anything with this venue which is always a plus in my book. Often I run into glitches with venues designed for Toddlers, but this one there were no glitches.

Here's the park! I deleted some trees so I can get a better view, but there are actual trees there too.

With trees, though everything is all wintery. So not only functional but pretty.

Here's the ground level. There's a lot for toddlers as well as children. The main children's items are in the back. There are a wiz kid station and two arts and crafts stations as well as the monkey bars.

Here's the second floor. There's a toy box in the corner, but it's hidden from this angle. I like that it has a fridge with counter space. Good for grabbing food as well as hosting children's birthday party. Though if you want to bake on the lot you might have to add a stove or just bring the cake yourself. There's also two potties for the toddlers. The only thing I added to the lot was a mirror over the sink. I always forget to put Ivan's celebrity disguise on, so he needs a mirror to do a quick change.

Anyway, I highly recommend this lot for toddlers and children.

New Year

The morning started off with a family discussion about plans for New Years and about Ellery's recent behavior. Ellery denied there was anything wrong. Misty was doubtful, but Ivan stated to just let it go. Wrench kept his peace during the discussion about Ellery, feeling a little awkward that his daughter might be the reason Ellery was acting out.

Later on once everyone was dressed and Mesh had woken up. Wrench decided to read a story to his daughter and spend some time with her. Ellery had been playing on her art table at the time and heard. Is that jealousy? Ellery went to sleep it off.

Ellery had woken up and was dancing with Ivan and Wrench when she started throwing another tantrum and making a mess. Ivan was like, "I'm too tired. I'll let your mother deal with this." Then he went off to sleep before the NY celebrations. Thanks Dad.

Misty and Ellery have a little talk while they play with the dollhouse together. Misty tries to coax her daughter into opening up, but her daughter was tight-lipped. Maybe it wasn't the best place to have a talk.

Bring Your Daughter to Work Day

Realizing Ellery wasn't working through her issues, Misty decided a new approach was needed.

Misty lets her daughter know she isn't going to school today. Before Ellery can cheer for a free day, Misty tells her she is instead going to work at the bakery with her instead.

While Ellery and Misty talk and get ready. Wrench decides today is the perfect opportunity to spend more time with his daughter. Not that he doesn't do that already, but it'll be nice to have his daughter undivided attention.

Then he gives her a bath. Wrench is a bit of a doting father.

Meanwhile, Misty and Ellery head to the bakery where Misty dresses up her daughter for the theme. They have a ball dressing Ellery up and Ellery is so happy with the outfit she gives her mother a big hug.

The employees come in for their shift and the customers start to arrive.

The shop is filled with people and Ellery is really getting into it. Two little boys make a visit and seem enamored with Ellery. They both end up buying something. Maybe Misty should bring her daughter to the shop more often.

The day went without a hitch. Misty and Ellery got to spend some much needed mother-daughter time. Misty managed to get a promise out of Ellery to try a bit harder to get along with Mesh and to reach out to her parents instead of acting out. Misty wasn't sure that solved things, but she hoped it made a difference. At the end of the day, Ellery begged to continue working at the shop instead of going to school. Misty pretending to think about it before saying no. lol

Wrench wrapped his own day with his daughter. As they talked, Wrench could hardly move, he was so tired. Being a Stay-At-Home Dad was rewarding, but exhausting.

After sending Ellery off to bed, Misty joined Wrench and Mesh. Mesh was super curious about Misty's costume and strutted over.

Seeing how much Wrench needed to recharge, Misty offered to put Mesh to bed.


Those curious about how much the shop made, here is a report.

As you can see they don't sell a whole lot, but the make a nice amount. For some reason, the report sometimes doesn't list the hours the shop is open. Strange. It doesn't happen all the time, just sometimes.

Thank you! I haven't been playing this family for a while. I'm actually planning something out a new idea, but plan to bring all my families into the same world.
