The frugal trait can refer to TS3, conflict with materialistic. It's obviously different from freegan; it just don't like spending money. It may similar to the difference between shy and loner in TS3; loner is enjoy solitude and don't like crowd, shy just don't like too many people who are not very familiar.
I think the traits need more complexity. At least for now you can't create a spoiled heir/heiress who is childish and snob, or a polished scoundrel who is mean and proper. I know that this problem may need to resolve the moodlets conflict first.
And, when I heard that brave is the reward trait, I'm ????, and when I heard that the brave is conflicted with squeamish, I'm OMG (don't know if it has been changed now). Fear and nausea are even managed by different parts of the brain. No matter how high my fear threshold is, I still feel the toilets that are not flushed are disgusting.
And I thought of some traits that might be interesting:
Calm
These sims are tend to fine. Their moodlets are rarely too strong and fade faster. They produce moodlets (beyond fine) less frequently and are easier to be calmed down/cheered up. Conflict with over-emotional (if return to TS4)
Mild
These sims are harder to get angry. They are easier to be calmed down and many occasions that make others angry will not annoy them. They also relatively less use mean interactions autonomously. Conflict with hot-headed.
- Mild don't conflict with evil or mean. For example, Dimitri from GTA IV.
Unambitious
These sims just want to be an ordinary person. Too much success will make them stressful and they enjoy the unremarkable time. If they have not been promoted, they will feel happy; if they are promoted too much, they will be tense. Conflict with ambitious.
Unintelligent
These sims just... unintelligent. They have obviously difficult in logic-related activities, their logic skills grow more slowly, and they perform worse in school or intelligent-related careers. Conflict with genius.
- Unintelligent doesn't mean be weak in everything.
- Generally speaking, it is similar to loser trait from TS3
Hardcorer
These sims are hardcore! They are interested in things that are "unacceptable" for the average people, and feel excited to them! Conflict with squeamish.
-They will have strong positive moodlets when watching, for example, scary TV shows. They also like ghost, cemetery and whoohoo in coffin.
- Different from daredevil from TS3, they don't like real danger.
- Hardcorer can have a kind heart, so it doesn't conflict with good. And it's different from evil, similar to cautious is different from cowardly (and even many of accomplished politicians and strategists are cautious and brave)
- I don't know if hardcorer can be cowardly
