Yes, please. I don't give a Sim the Hates Children trait so they can be all lovey-dovey with any kids. If I want a Sim with that trait to be nice to their kid, I'll "make" them behave nicely. Otherwise, I expect the to be uncomfortable getting hugs from them and tense when they're around them. At the very least.
Mean trait shouldn't have a sim behaving nicely to people autonomously. In fact, I'd really like it if a Mean Sim with a low friendship bar with another sim would autonomously perform mean or mischievous actions. Loners should be uncomfortable in crowds and get tense after being any people for a length of time.
The traits could definitely use a good tweaking. And, as always, add more negative moods or at least more ways for the negative moods to be triggered. I don't want my sims walking around pissy all the time--well, actually, my hot headed, mean sim probably should walk around pissy all the time...
