@Pamtastic72, using shift doesn't work on hipped roofs or round ones sadly.
Also, the workaround you quoted is from almost a year ago and doesn't work permanently, it always resets on visiting manage worlds.
The video I posted uses a new/different workaround and does not have the eaves issue anyway ;-)
