Apartment WIP : help me figure out the layout?

Question

After months not able to play the game, I have finally managed to fix my computer. I decided to get back to my years-old project of creating new lots in all of SanMyshuno. (Yay!)

I'm almost done with this apartment in Uptown, but I'm struggling with what to do with some of the areas upstairs. Basically, the thought is this apartment is inhabited by only one sim, a sort of adventurer/history teacher (think Indiana Jones) who is secretly a spellcaster. Downstairs will have its private collection of artifacts, as well as a hidden area where he can craft items and practice magic. The middle floor has the main entrance, so I made it open living with the kitchen, dining and living room. Upstairs has a full bathroom, the main bedroom with a walk in closet, but I'm left with one small room (which currently just has a meditation stool) and an awkward landing.

I still have to add some decor items, but I feel like that won't be enough. Do you guys have any idea what I could do with these two awkward spaces? Here are some pictures of the floor plans and the two main problems.

If this is a teacher, they'd have a library/office. Books floor to ceiling, books on the floor, on tables... and a comfy chair for reading and possibly a desk for grading papers.&nbsp;

The apartment looks great! 🙂 Very nice layout. Perhaps the room that you are unsure how to use it could be a gym or a music room. You could perhaps add a reading or study desk area to the landing area.
