I like Long Complex stories one of my favorites is the Beauty and The Beast

1885 in the City of Briarwood (Willow Creek).
The Jordan Family, a powerful wealthy family, which held a Dangerous Secret. They are a family of Werewolves.
Victoria Jordan Head of the Household for she was the All powerful Alpha. One Night on the eve of the lunar moon, a week before their youngest Son Caleb's 13th Birthday, The Mansion was attacked.
raided by Magic Hunters. Victoria and Caleb, managed to escape, however Victoria was fatally wounded. Knowing her death was close, She had to make the unthinkable choice. No Alpha Werewolf would dare bestow such power and responsibility upon their beta and child, who hasn't even experience His first shift. But she did it to keep her family alive, and in the long run keep her son safe.

After his Mother passed away, Caleb returned home a week later, no survivors were found.
and then it happened the first full moon.
the Thirteen year old Alpha werewolf was overwhelmed by the power, and no one was around to teach him.
The Wolf consumed him, and he was transformed into a full wolf.
and for 85 years he spent his days isolated within the mansion struggling to regain control.

That is Until He meets Stella a Sorceress, who will help gain control.
and She does, he becomes the Powerful Alpha His mother once was, and unlocked a few secrets his mother never knew.
Caleb then Proposes to Stella and together they rebuild the Jordan Pack.
Bringing 6 werewolves into the world.

Thanks for creating this post! I don't play with families unless I have a good backstory for them, or I just get bored. I love letting my imagination run wild! My friend said I should write books after I told her about some of my family stories haha. Anyways, I'll share some stories and try to keep them as short/fluff free as possible!!

**I love making people of different cultures! I am from the US and I think its fun to branch out! I use google to find actual names from whatever county I'm playing :).

The Purnama Sisters (longest most in depth story, bare with me)- My game started when young adult Jayachandra moved back to her upper middle class family home in Indonesia to care for her teen sister, Kemala, after the tragic death (car accident) of both of their parents. Jaya was established in the states, but she was a loving responsible sister who didn't want to uproot Kemala's life. She took time off of work and used inheritance money to become reacquainted with her sister and her country. I used this time to build skills and such. Kemala is very mature, intelligent, and adventurous (jungle explorer aspiration). Here's where it gets interesting. Bjorn Bjergsen was a neighbor part of the welcome wagon. He and Kemala developed a friendship. She had been very close to her father and felt a sense of comfort in his company. ***Wicked Whims is a mod, one feature allows teen romance. I used it for this story***. It wasn't until after their relationship had turned romantic that Kemala asked and discovered that Bjorn was a married man. Kemala is a kind and honest girl, this behavior is very uncharacteristic of her, was a result of her recent tragedy, and eventually tore her up inside resulting in it's end. Kemala is still hurt and confused by the recent events of her life and is still acting out a bit. **Through the basemental mod she had a very short lived alcohol problem she developed by clubbing with neighbor Joaquin Le Chien.This affected her studies and inspired her to start working towards a better life and the future she had dreamed of before her untimely loss. She is good friends with Luna Villareal and they are currently experiencing some "confused feelings" for each other. Ultimately I plan to have her end up with Joaquin and living in the Jungle (I will use money cheats because of her inheritance plus she will collect and sell items etc. I will just continuously end the vacation until she grows old and returns to her home town to retire). Jayachandra is a slightly more serious woman who wants to find her true love and is a successful doctor. She is currently dating Sergio Romeo and very much in love, but due to his hatred of children she will ultimately make the difficult decision to end the relationship. I'm not sure where her story will go because I don't know who she'll meet and settle down with yet! I had soooooo much fun designing their modest junglesque but beautiful home, I'm new to posting and stuff so I need to figure out how, but I'll try to post some pictures! Love these girls <3

Land Lady Lucille-My most fun yet annoying build/living arrangement haha. I wanted to build a little community of row/town houses. I hadn't intended on playing with it due to it's layout, but a story popped into my head so I decided to give it a go. Maybe I'll make up a challenge of some sort surrounding town houses, because it is a bit difficult. Anyway, the land lady is an old cat lady named Lucille. Her adult (also successful doctor) daughter, Camila, lives next door. Camila decided to become a single mother and ended up with two twin (currently child) boys. She's a great cook and grandma handles the baking. I have a mod that allows more parenting interactions for grandparents and such, so Lucille helps out a lot! The third and final dwelling belongs to recently divorced Eric who works as a school teacher (a career I downloaded, sorry I'm such a mod head!). I had so much fun designing their homes and making them their own. Eric doesn't have much furniture yet, and has a few boxes and things lying around. The Challenge sets in when Camila decides to get food from her fridge, but to walk next door to her mothers to prepare it haha (everyone but Eric is locked out of his dwelling, and he is locked out of both of theirs). Being an instructor and a lover of children, Eric quickly bonds with the two boys. He never had children of his own due to the tumultuous nature of his previous marriage. Slowly he and Camila will form a romantic relationship, but it's too soon for Eric. I will deal with the challenges of playing in this town house layout until I feel its a good time for them to move out together. I enjoy this story but as far as game play goes, I'm having trouble deciding on some drama to throw into the mix and I fear it will grow stale. Any suggestions????

One of my favorite backstories involved a teen living on her own in San Myshuno.

Bridget O'Rourke was the eldest daughter of Michael O'Rourke, one of the top crime bosses in Roaring Heights. She grew up dreaming of adventure, but when she became a teen, she learned that her father planned to marry her to the son of one of his rival mob bosses in a merger sort of deal. That didn't sit well with her so she confided in the family lawyer (who'd loved her as a daughter after losing his only daughter in a tragic houseboat fire in Isla Paradiso) and the lawyer was able to sneak §20K out of the family trust funds for her. She changed her name to "Cali West" and moved to San Myshuno, enrolling in the local high school and collecting items to sell for extra spending money (and completing her Curator aspiration).

Shade was born in 50s China, from a rich gangster family. Because he living in an unrest period during childhood and teenage and has risky family background, he dropped out of middleschool and had to work in countryside, suffered misery. When the period was over, he want to becomes a rock star but his parents expect him to becomes a gangster. The unrest period cause he rebellious, his parents think he's disappointing. Finally he becomes a metal guitarist, joined a metal band, he usually doing shock rock in concerts. One day Shade feel his neck hurt when the band back to China, he found his neck had weird small wounds, and he gradually feels sick when eating and easier thirst, even go to hospital can't find the cause. A few days later, he had a weird and mysterious change in a concert suddenly, everyone think it's shock rock show at first, but they found the wrong quickly. Shade being conceal after this incident and becomes urban legend.
Finally Shade known he isn't human anymore, he's turned to vampire. He moved to another country to integrate others vampires into, and fall in love with one of his fan, an vampire artist girl. Her married to him and have a son, Shadow, but Shade's lack of education and parenting problem cause he can't parenting child well, so his wife was tired in parenting. Afterward they have a daughter, Coldlight, when Coldlight became a teen, his wife persuaded them move to have a good environment.
Now Shadow become a criminal, he influence by his father so he's a metalhead too, Coldlight become a gardener. Theirs parents will move to brindleton bay soon, and Shade will rebecome a celebrity, and do charity to help those people in trouble——like formerly him in those years.

For my current family I started with the Disney Princess Legacy. The game crashed but I was able to save two of the sisters, Cinderella and her sister Raelynn. With those two they moved to San Myshuno. My story was that on Cindy's YA bday they went out with friends and didn't get home until after curfew. They found their parents and siblings dead of carbon monoxide poisoning. After that they moved to put their past behind them.

Most of my backstories are the same = "This budding artist loner was left a vast fortune by her late loving Grandmother". And then I build a home under the lighthouse.

I always come up with backstories for my sims.

My latest sim is Valerie Knight. She is a vampire teen idol much to the disdain of some vampires wanting to live in anonymity and keep all vampires a secret. However being a teen idol is just a front for what she really does. Leading one of the largest crime families around.

She is bubbly and super friendly but also brutal and sadistic. With the blood slaves (a human wanting to be fed off of and loves vampires) that travel with her. She was a moral during the Great Depression and a Flapper. Riding around in her Roadster and helping her dad with the family business. Her dad ran the largest crime family at the time with other crime families working in unity with theirs. She was set to run The Family business in cases of his untimely demise. She was his Right-Hand learning how to be an efficient and effective crime boss. Her father felt a female running The Family Business would give a better illusion of legality and she wouldn't be bothered as much as would her brothers. When her dad died and left her in charge some families didn't want to work with a woman being in charge and she had to prove her worth often leading important and even less glamorous jobs like the pickpockets and petty criminals. Because of her family, she is good friends with Jaques Villareal and his kids. Teaching his Right Hand Max a thing or two on how to be a great Crime Boss and take over his family's affairs after his dad dies. She is Max's besties. She still runs her Family's Business and is excellent at it. Never once getting arrested and earning the respect of many heads of other Crime Families. Teaching their heirs how to run their Family Business effectively and efficiently and most importantly how to not get caught running illegal activities. She teaches other family's heirs that being arrested is not a badge of honour but rather one of shame and should never be a goal but if it happens to look at it as a learning experience.

It was during The Great Depression while she was running hooch for her dad and skillfully evading the cops the whole time she ran into Vlad who oddly took a shine to her and quickly befriending the young lady. It would be months later when she would be struck with smallpox then a month later polio. She was an inch of dying when Vlad made her an offer to become a vampire which she gladly took. Her pox marks healed and the paralysis in her right arm from polio was healed instantly as she turned into a vampire. She has blood slaves to feed on and plasma packs she carries while travelling in buses, planes and boats.

My favorite backstory at the moment is the one for my vampire sim, Caitlyn. She lived in San Myshuno with her alien brother Apollo, his wife, their three kids, and her own daughter. She was orphaned as a child and was raised by her much older twin half-brothers alongside their siblings, one of which was Apollo. So technically, she has no relation to Apollo, as Caitlyn and her half-brothers shared a father, and Apollo was born from the twin's mother. But they were raised together, so I consider them siblings even if the game doesn't.

Anyway, her story is that, because she showed up in their lives kind of late, she never really found a way to fit in to the family that well and was shunned by everyone but her own twin brother, her half-brothers, and the family dog. Once they were young adults, her brother left the house, essentially abandoning her, and went to live on his own in a different town. Caitlyn remained at home with Apollo, who was the only other one to not move out. When Caitlyn was a human, they had an okay relationship. They weren't friends, but they didn't hate each other either. At some point early in her YA stage, Caitlyn met Lilith Vatore, who turned her into a vampire. Pretty much as soon as her family found out, her relationships with them started going south, except with Wilson. They have always remained best friends, even after she turned him into a vampire against his will so that he could never leave her alone again. Even Apollo's toddler children didn't like her and she has a rocky relationship with her own daughter; they are friends right now, but not by much. Apollo dislikes her very much, as does the rest of his family. The last time I played Caitlyn, she had just moved out to get away from the toxic relationships in her life and moved in with her brother, Wilson, to help him work on his vampire skills, leaving her daughter behind for Apollo to look after.

I love playing her household because of all the drama, but I don't think they'll be as much now that she's moved. I'll probably focus more on having her her become a supersim, as, since she's immortal, I don't have to worry about her dying before she's completed everything. But I look forward to seeing where her story leads next.
