Well, not only in the current game, but also in the previous Sims, it was obvious that certain activities such as preparing food then eating, or the bathing etc. took hours measured in game time.
But our sims have a lot of needs, and currently the biggest part of a day is spent with satisfying these repeating needs all the time. But if we add to this the rest, such as learning new skills and developing them, or writing homework, etc then we are at the point where another day has passed without doing anything fun. Ergo playing this game with aging-on probably a bad idea. But if the time past more slowly and we would have longer days, it might could solve these grinding problems, and some meaningful events could finally happen on most days either.
