I would really like home repair. When I first played the Sims 1, a friend described how the house will break down and you need to repair it, but I never experienced it how I imagined it. Like if a sims lived in the same house for over 20 years, one might experience a leak, and they would need to grab a ladder and climb up on top and fix it. This is what I was waiting for and never experienced in the Sims.
Also before 20 years, change of weather, you will have to clean the gutters from all the leaves and debris. Dust traps and cleaning cobwebs with in the game not build mode. I guess adding black mole was in a way getting there, with the next expansion pack, but that wasn't not my first choice, and its a bit overwhelming, with death and all, I hope to be able to turn that off. I know someone who had this in their apartment, and they said it can travel to you brain and make your brain rot and cause dementia, before death. Grossly terrifying but you don't die overnight. His bathroom turned into a huge construction sight and he had to used the bathroom somewhere else in the mean while as the gutted it.
Like I want depth in the game but not that terrifying.
Like the wall textures have clean and then worn and dirty. You can guess in 5 years time, all walls need a fresh coat of paint. It would be nice to see the walls change with regular wear and tear, and you see the animation of the sims diy painting their walls with a fresh coat of paint, or hiring carpenters to. All systems and parts of the houses and apartments need repair like floors,...
This could definitely be explored with the new For Rent expansion coming out as I know first hand what it is like from the landlord's side, tenant's side and property owners side, all the fixer uppers issues which pop up. Thiis would add dynamic realistic game play.
Also, if you live someplace where there are bears or raccoons, they break into to houses or garbage areas turn things upside down and destroy the place and steal. I would love to see that. I've see footage of bears using the hot tub and pools. Would love that in game.
Could be- and this is controversial- an opportunity to introduce guns into the game. I mean, I am not politically pro-gun in real life hell, it's a game, and there are tons of games with guns, running and killing, hunting.... (i am vegan and I don't believe in animal hunting either- but selling animals for meat is in the game). It would be rad for historical game play. Also more historical game play items like horse carriages.
