MONDAY
After a weekend that felt like it wasn’t long enough, Monday had arrived. When Dallas got to school, she was faced with a very upset Sydney waiting for her by her locker.
“Syd, what’s wrong?” Dallas asked.
“What’s wrong?! Hallway Hearsay is what’s wrong” Sydney hissed. “Have you checked Social Bunny this morning?”
“No, what did it say? I can’t be that bad” Dallas replied.
Sydney opened her Social Bunny and began reading “Hallway Hearsay: Sydney Lehman stuffs her shirts to appear ‘grown’!”
Dallas gasped! “Oh…my…gosh” were the only words that left her mouth before the bell rang. The girls looked down at their feet and walked into class.

“Hey Sydney, you look sad. Need a tissue, or a few?” giggled Lucia. The whole class laughed except for Sydney and Dallas. Hallway Hearsay struck again.

The lunch bell rang, and everyone got up from their seats and walked towards the cafeteria for lunch. Dallas bought herself some tamale bites (they became her fav lunch!) and sat down by Sydney, who was still extremely embarrassed from Lucia’s joke.
“Nobody believes it, Sydney. Lucia was just being a witch – she shouldn’t have said that” Dallas told Sydney trying to comfort her.
“C’mon, let’s go to the ladies room.”

“Hallway Hearsay is so lame. I bet you whoever runs that account is self-conscious about themselves, and that’s why they have to make up rumors about people to make themselves feel better…this is such a cute outfit, right?!”

The girls walked out of the ladies room and hugged. “I got your back! Now cheer up, we’ve got a science experiment to epically fail at” Dallas laughed.

Both girls started making their way down the hall when suddenly, BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! The fire alarms went off. All of the students rushed out of the school towards the street to huddle up. It was just a drill, phew!

After school, Dallas went to the locker room to change for cheer practice. The girls were going to practice a new cheer that they’ll perform at the football game that following Thursday.
“Ready? Ok!”
“We’re fired up, we’re sizzling hot”
“We’ve got the heat, we will not stop!”
“We’ve got the spirit, we’ve got the fight”
“We’re gonna win the game tonight!”
“We’ve got the talent, we bring the heat”
“Womp womps just can’t be beat!”

After practice, Dallas went home to work on her math homework. Linear equations…ugh, as if!

The clock hit 11PM, so Dallas put a face mask on, brushed her teeth, and got ready for bed. Goodnight!
