I think because you (cleverly) came up with doing it in the opposite order, you bypassed that check, and it seems to me that they must have tightened the code in the patch to do the check on save/load and auto-correct the "problem."
I'm struggling as to whether we report this as a bug or as a request. I know you were able to make it work before, which makes it seem more like a bug, but given that the functionality doesn't ever seem to have been intended, I'm inclined to see it more as a request... What do you think?
I don't think it's necessary to add it as a request, we're bending the rules with all our MOO-ing. And it's not a game-breaking bug either. While I'm sad it no longer works, there are plenty of other requests in the list with a higher priority. If we got half-walls for example, I wouldn't have to use stairs to create a crow-stepped gable :)
edit: I never changed my gallery settings and the 'Include unowned content' is checked, 'Include custom content' is not.
