Congratulations to Erik and Kayleigh on their engagement! ❤️ It was lovely that he proposed to her at the Grand Ball. Kayleigh’s outfit was very lovely and elegant! 💗It was good that Drake gave his permission for them to be wed without any issues. He was glad that it would also strengthen their dynasties.
Thank you. I had fun writing this one up. Unfortunately, I'm at a bit of a standstill, for a couple of reasons. 1. I'm torn with getting them married while they're still in college (only making certain they don't start their family right off). And 2. I ended up having to exchange my current save (which is just a tad ahead of the one I backed up) with the said Back up copy. The Ball is on Friday; this save begins on Thursday. Erik did a tournament, which he won as before, but the Nit chose the wrong moment to broach a duel to allow him to marry Kayleigh. He got sternly turned down and now is too embarrassed to ask again at this time. That's my fault. His father was clearly having a moment with his mother, yet I had him barge right in. (Sometimes I do wonder just where my brains have wandered off to, you know?) If you see them will you send them home, please? 🙃
Just for further disclosure, I went back into my game after the above post. Erik came home from a concert, slept for a bit and found his father on the top floor of the stables. There he asked for a duel and was granted one. Yes, he won. Early the next morning since he didn't have class on the last day of the quarter, he sought out Captain Drake Golden, seeking permission to ask Kayleigh to marry him. Permission was granted.
Things are now square with the updates. Phew!
GalacticGal I know how you feel. I think, in my case, I get so wrapped up in my plans for my little wards that I forget they still have minds of their own--what with freewill and their basic chaotic nature! 😆
