Deirdre Tique - called 'Miss Tique' or 'The Banshee'
Backstory:

Deirdre is a variant of a vampire. Her more humane form strongly resembles a lively young woman full of health blending in nearly perfectly in human society while her bestial or raging form seems to show much more ancient crone of a woman. She is known in the vampire covens as "The Banshee", though she isn't especially fon of that byname and insists on "Miss Tique".
Deirdre Miss Tique got her nickname from foolish people and vampires, who saw her in her vampiric self and thought because of her behavior that thing before them is a banshee, hence her byname. While she rightfully insists that she is no banshee but a vampire, she doesn't deny that she got some qualities in common with one.

She can appear as a beautiful young maid or a withered old hag. While maintaining a dignified manner she is hypersensitive of the feelings of people around her.
Deirdre is very attached to a family (once) she has chosen (one), trailing their descendants over generations and protecting them. (Mainly from the shadows, but there has been cases/times when she has revealed herself). Rumors say she has a special history with the family she decided on, seemingly with some of their ancestors she knew in a different life.
Deirdre also has premonitions and can foresee the death. If that is a ability of her vampire subspecies or something she always had is not known. She often expresses that in form of a very distinctive wailing. It can be heard for miles and chills the hearts of the people who hear it. Sometimes even glass windows shatter when hit by the high, plaintive notes of the Banshee’s song. While she could simply tell them, Deirdre mostly uses this way. For one, who would believe a strange woman claiming to know there will someone die in this house... she would have to reveal her nature, which she tries to avoid and probably would cause even more disbelief. Secondly she sometimes is just to overwhelmed and can express her grief in wails and sorrowful, haunting songs better than in words.
Her abilities, similar to telepathy allow her to have her song only heard by specific people.
Miss Tique sometimes if she needs to feeds on the members of 'her' family as a compensation for her protection, but prefers their enemies to dine on. If no foes are around and charges need their plasma she takes passersby.
Deirdre is naturally a melancholic, who feels strongly with the people around her. It even goes as far as her moaning her own victims from time to time. Not seldom her sorrow and rage mix together when hunting, resulting in a grotesque behavior for a predator.
"Mistique" is actually even her alias, as Deirdre sometimes enjoys painting, writing novels (mostly romantic fiction) and even composing her own musical pieces and songs. Well, you need at least ONE hobby to kill time if you are an immortal.

Onomastics
Deirdre - " Sorrowful", "Raging", "Mist"
Tique - French for tick, the parasite (that one was a coincidence, as I was looking up a meaning for tique for the pun Mistique to Miss Tique XD)
Mistique - her pen-name. A combination from mist, mystic and (Miss) Tique, her name. She is very proud of that one...

I feel like I've seen Deirdre Tique in some parallel universe before, only without the Banshee powers. ;)
