I just had a thought the other day about how cool it would be if you could use the elements to make jewelry. What they could do is introduce some sort of metalworking skill where you can use the elements. I love that there's a woodworking table, but I feel like the objects you can make is limited. If you could use that in combo with collectibles, you could make all kinds of things. This would be so fun for off-the-grid play, and more period piece/historical stuff. I play some of my saves with lots of collecting of things and it would be nice to have a real reason to use them aside from just selling them or saving them for display. It'd also be sweet if we could make things like flower crowns/necklaces/bracelets from the harvested flowers.
I don't really like how all of the elements when assessed provide the Focus moodlet (at least I think they do, I rarely have them assessed). It'd be more interesting if they offered different kinds of moodlets. As it stands, if I even wanted to have one for the sake of harnessing a moodlet, I would only actually need a small handful of them, depending on where I was placing them. There's no benefit to collecting many of them if you want to use them for the moodlet is what I'm trying to say.
Also, I thought there was a screen to view all of the collectibles so that you could keep track.
