In my opinion Sims should be faithful when they are in happy relationship - soulmates, green and pink bars are full. When youre in love you do not want to cheat your mate...
Exceptions: mean traits like noncommital or evil can cheat randomly. Good traits, family trait - they had lower chance to cheat, even when they have problem in marriage.
