That could be interesting. Personally, I don’t know if I would actually use this tool so much even though I like painting irl. It does sound more in-depth than we’ve ever seen in The Sims before though. It just sounds like idk get frustrated with it and bored and would probably not want to use it often. However, if it’s an additional method ON TOP of the Sims themselves painting, sure why not.
Another idea could be if you could select options for your Sims to use while they paint. So you can select what kind of painting they make. What kind of paint they use. What colors they use. Is it a landscape or a portrait or a still life. Is it with oil or watercolor. Do they use mostly cool colors or warm colors. This would require a some sort of flexible internal tool to generate different creations but it would allow you to customize your creative Sim’s style rather than just at the mercy of near random selection like it is now and has been in the past.
Also I would love to see an expansion on traditional drawing with charcoal and vine, mixed media creations, even just pencil drawings in a sketchbook. Pottery/sculpture, metalworking, jewelry making, sewing/weaving, etc. I would like to see more art (with more depth) in the Base game.
