I do ignore them completely. My only interaction with Sims I didn't create and were randomly generated is if I'm buying from them at a food stall or a restaurant. Please, stop assuming that everyone plays like you do.
Please read my above Post I did not say everyone had to play with progression. So how do you play the game? Do you just play with a few sims and they don't marry or make friends? The Majority I see on youtube and those that like mods play with families and have friends and go exploring.
