Fixing lifespans/age stages

I believe that sims 3 allowed us to customize how long each age stage was for sims. I think this would be great to add to ts4 bc I don’t want to switch to “epic” lifespans, but I do feel my sims don’t live as long as I would like. University takes my sims’ entire young adulthood, and so most don’t marry and have children until they are adults. Doing that, very few live to see their grandchildren. This isn’t terribly realistic. If we consider young adulthood to be ages 18-25, college should only take a portion of that.

Another idea would be to add another adult life stage, maybe middle age. However, I don’t think that’s really necessary if they just let us tweak how long each age stage lasts. I would like to see a return of midlife crises, etc from generations though...
