I was thinking that an ice box chest-style freezer would absolutely be a great addition, especially if they ever add a Country Life pack. Part of living in the country is preserving food as long as possible (because you're usually so far away from grocery stores and such). I can imagine that if they added a new appliance like a freezer, not only would it keep fish fresh, but they could have new interactions with it like with the current fridges and ovens.
For instance:
-Just like the fridge/oven allows you to cook or bake (among other things) a freezer could let you prepare "make-ahead meals" especially with the "frugal/eco" living idea they played with in Laundry Day.
-Store freshly cooked items and leftovers you don't want to use within the typical time frame of the fridge.
-Keep. Ice Cream. Seriously.
-Store produce if you don't want it in your inventory.
Freezers could be either upright or chest-style, with an added animation chance for Sims falling into the freezer chest just for fun.
With handiness they could be upgraded like other appliances with the added function of "auto-defrost" instead of just "self-cleaning" and stuff.
