Futuristic eco-living City with fashion/entertainment

I've suggested this idea a few times in comment sections, so I might as well make a thread.

While San Myshuno is awesome, it's very small and doesn't satisfy my city-living needs. I would really love a sleek, clean and minimalist city world with a futuristic eco-living theme.

This world is just seriously beautiful and provides the perfect backdrop for many playstyles and stories.

Style of stuff found in this world: https://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/915903/minimalistic-futuristic-living-sp-with-bots-picture-heavy#latest

While San Myshuno is a vibrant cultural place, this world would be a sleek fashion and entertainment hotspot. Including bands would be great because of the entertainment aspect. If not, however, there will still be many high-end lounges, bars etc. with some being VIP. The VIP locations can have bouncers - one needs a certain status (or bribe money) to gain entrance. Possible opportunity to add optional celebrity system.

The stylist, interior decorating and maybe modeling careers can be included to showcase the new fashions and styles included in the pack. Since this world is very focused on style, sleekness and entertainment, aesthetic careers are important. Some new branches in existing careers that fit in with the futuristic theme (ex. graphic designer, 3D artist, critic of bands/fashion shows/architecture, etc) would expand the game even more.

Little Eve-inspired (from the film Wall-E) robots would be a cute addition. They can be built or bought. The robots can be programmed to be servants (maids/nannies/bartenders etc.) or friends. One "trait chip" can be implanted to define their behaviour, or you can leave it blank to leave the robot completely neutral.

Eco-living is also an important theme in this world. There will be many energy- efficient appliances, solar panels, interactions like "take quick shower" etc. A compost bin can be included for the garden. Sims can brag about their carbon footprint or guilt-trip others about their waste.

A kindle object can be included on which sims can store and read virtual books to save space. Fancy compact coffee and tea machines, a mini-bar and electrical fireplaces all contribute to a great futuristic experience.

A note on the housing in this world:
I would like enough options to satisfy every need: standard lots in the more park-like area; lots inside shells (like the lounges and bars that reside in taller buildings in TS3) and a penthouse or two. I'd really like some housing options that work like TS3 apartments where it's simply a lot within a shell - my sim wants to live in a small apartment with a little balcony overlooking the city. Of course, restrictions plum so there should be enough options and ways to work around restrictive building!
Important note: SMALL. The housing in this city would be very expensive so it's important that most residential lots are quite small. My biggest problem with CL apartments are that they are all seriously enormous. What happened to cheap starter living? Also, minimalism is a theme in this pack so it is important to accommodate this with small living quarters and multi-functional (efficient) furniture.

Please comment your thoughts and ideas!

Are those sewers dumping into the open air in the middle of the city?

I sincerely hope not  Maybe it's a natural underground river that is now used to create hydro-electricity
  • I'd just like to tag @SimGuruGrant to share this idea  Hope at least some of it might serve as inspiration for future content! Thank you and have a nice day :)

Eco-living could be a great chance to expand plant options - basically new ways to grow them. Plants could be trained up walls for example to save space, or grown in pods that cultivate them for you with less work and produce more food too. I guess a way to integrate plants differently in to gameplay, not just the traditional put them in the soil/pot in the garden way.

I also like the idea of resource saving to reduce bills. Solar panels and wind turbines are obvious I guess, but how about water saving toilets and showers that reduce bills a bit.
  • Where did they get all that marble and rock and glass? Mining is bad for echo friendly living. Not enough trees and plant life since the earth needs oxygen. But love that picture.
