Greenhouse SP

New build tool: greenhouse! Functional greenhouse, that help to grow up plants. If Season is installed, Sims can plant anything out of season.

Irrigation control: Sims can now choose the time for automatic sprinklers to watering all the plants, including bugs control and fertilizing.

Lawn mowing: new chore, involves weed growing. Three new lawn mowers, much like Bust The Dust but for outside, BUT HEAVY BALANCED and can be deactivated in gameplay options. If Cottage Living is installed, befriend rabbits can help to eat weed.

Composting bin: using a new item to have new types of fertilizer. BG update.

CAS: new clothes cathegory: gardening clothes. Also as a BG update.
  • This is a good idea. Perhaps we should add this in Eco Lifestyle instead of another pack. Maybe they should patch this pack like they did in Spa Day.
  • I don't think a green house fits with the theme of the Eco Lifestyle pack. We can already build greenhouses though, but would be lovely to have build tools to make those large glass pavilions they have in botanical gardens. I would like different varieties of orchids as collectibles, that sims could splice to get new varieties and grow to perfection in greenhouses. Would also like small pots that can be placed on tables in which we could grow small flowers and herbs.

We can already make green houses. Now if the discussion is about getting build pieces reminiscent of the greenhouse from Sims 3 that were more conservatory styled, then I'm totally on board.

A refresh for Eco Lifestyle is unlikely due the time passed. Spa Day was released in 2016 while Eco Lifestyle in 2020.

Any update to an Eco Lifestyle pack would probably involve polytunnels and not glass greenhouses or possibly a career from one to larger and larger or adding more and more as you might do to cow barns and chicken houses. :D B)
  • As several mentioned, the features of a greenhouse can already be achieved in sims today, although the look of a greenhouse isn't perfect. Better build items for a greenhouse I would love however. I don't even think this would need to a SP, but a kit would actually work quite nicely. What you'd need is some glass walls, more variations of plant boxes and some greenhouse lighting and possible some wicker furniture - that's not that many items. Maybe two-three mini greenhouses as well for those without the space to build a big one, and a few new plants.

I also love the idea of orchids as collectables!

Yes to greenhouses because they were fun in the previous games.
  • More stuff for greenhouses would be awesome!
I would love it if they could add new harvestables we can grow in the greenhouse like new fruits and vegetables!
