Harry Potter Themed Lot - Diagon Alley Picture Heavy

Oh my I have put so much into this build, and I am still not quite finished but I wanted to share what I have done so far with everyone! I am getting ready to go on day four with building this lot, by far the longest, most detailed build I have created in any of the Sims games.

I am really nervous to what kind of feedback I am going to get, but here we go. I am trying to make this lot as playable as possible. That is my main goal. Not everything is going to look exactly as it should. Why? Because I am fitting it all into one lot. Seeing as how my 64 x 64 lots are already taken in my Harry Potter themed save, this is where it ended up. Its turning out bigger than I thought, but I am really liking how it is going.

This lot includes: The Leaky Cauldron, with two muggle shops on the outside to give it a more "realistic Harry Potter" feel. Then it parts into a hidden back alley where you will find Flourish and Blotts, Olivanders, an apothecary, Gringotts, and Weasley's Wizard Wheezes. Right beside the joke shop is an eerie alley way. That's right. Knockturn Alley. Here you will find a little pub, another apothecary (catering to the dark arts), a shop I am not sure what will be yet, and Borgin and Burkes.

I have quite a ways to go with this build, but I feel it is a little over half way finished and wanted to share it with everyone!

Also I wanted to point out that I am not using ANY custom content in this build!! This lot is CUSTOM CONTENT FREE!

Some pictures will be dark, and some will be light as I sent my Molly Weasley into the build to test it at about 1 am lol. I am starting from her and Arthur as young adults, building their skills, and having their children in order (: Charlie Weasley was just born and Bill absolutely did not like having a sibling! Boy, is he in for a surprise ;)

This is the front of the lot. You can see Gringotts in the background, and 2 muggle shops (a cafe and a boutique) along with The Leaky Cauldron on the corner. I have went by the first film for this.

Okay, so I know the gnome is weird. lol. But It was what I chose for Weasleys Wizard Wheezes. Its goofy, and thats why I picked it because I couldnt get the man with the hat bust to sit properly.

The first couple of shops. Pub is at the end, towards the wall and is great place for Death Eater's to hang ;)

  • The build is looking very great! :) The layout of the build looks very nice! It is a very detailed build! Each of the areas are looking so great! The furnishing of the interior of the Leaky Cauldron looks very great ! The cracks are great touches on the walls. It looks great that there are a variety of different types of dining chairs used. The pictures are nice touches on the walls. The alleyway looks great with the crates in it! The flower wheelbarrow looks pretty outside the Flourish and Blotts store. It looks very nice the type of and placement of the windows in Ollivanders. The enlarged gnome on the top of Weasleys Wizard Wheezes looks great! The clock tower and llama on the top of Gringotts looks very nice!
The build is looking very great! It would be involving a lot of work! I hope that your continued work on the build goes well :)
  • OMG that is AMAZING! I’ve been trying to get better at building. I might try something like that
  • Congrats on an amazingly cool build. The details are amazing. Now I need to go binge watch the Harry Potter Movies.
