What about getting a parcel with mutagenic drinks in front of your door by a mysterious stranger who's also a superhero and you can choose to drink it or to put it in the trash.
Drinking the mutagenic drink will cause Sims to gain random superpowers to start with that they can expand
Some superpowers can also be hilarious like farting fire.
