How do you guys decide which sim is the heir of a legacy?

I know there are legacies where people strictly have to pick either girl or boy heirs, or they have to pick the first born. But my need for everything to look pretty overrides all the rules and I need...

I agree with everyone in picking Elsa. Personally I usually pick the youngest child, this way I have all their siblings married off before I focus solely on the heir. I enjoy having large family trees for story purposes and this just keeps it easy IMO.
