Idea: IKEA stuff pack

Last night while brushing my teeth after some hours of building, an idea hit me: how cool wouldn’t an IKEA stuff pack be?

For one, I really love their furniture.

Second, it would be really cool if the sims could order the furniture online, and that it arrived as a box on their doorstep. Then they would have to build it. I can already imagine the funny animations when they make mistakes.

It would be extra cool if they included the handyness skill. That they gain handyness from building, and that sims with higher levels of handyness built faster and with less mistakes 😃

    We've already had 3 packs with ikea-styled furniture, how much more of that basic boring stuff could they come up with

    But still. There can never be enough IKEA. And buying online/building furniture would be cool ☺️

    I would love if they did that. I love the idea of the woodworking table, but I don’t like the look. On the other hand I love the look of the furniture you can make with eco, but I hate that building machine. It just doesn’t fit in any house.

    To be fair, I do think the furniture building interaction could be fun, so that is a clever idea.

    Of course, knowing TS4, it would come with the world's most gigantic allen wrench, taking up 3x3 squares for something that's normally half the size of your index finger. :D

    How many ppl in real life do you know that have a furniture building machine in their house taking up less than 3x3 floor tiles? ;)

    Building furniture could be a cool feature, but I think it would need to take place on a community lot, like a factory (big or small). And I would appreciate if we could be a bit creative mixing and patching, not only the paint color, but like combining different styles and shapes in one object. Creating a chair or table that ain't available in the game (showhiddenobjects) would be grand.

    Well, he was talking about assembling IKEA-style furniture in your home, not making handcrafted furniture from scratch. As someone who has assembled an unfathomable amount of IKEA furniture in my time, I can tell you 99% of it is assembled with nothing more than an allen wrench, which is, what, 2-3 inches long? I mean, your idea is interesting, too, but OP's idea was specifically about that IKEA furniture experience of building it at home.
