Toddler beds & nap mats. One of the things I liked about Sims 2, was using the pet bed as an extra "nap mat." Before Pets came out, I used a CC nap blanket. Since toddlers usually need an extra nap during the day, I liked having a spot for them to nap in the playroom so that my sim didn't have to stop everything to put the toddler in the crib, or take him/her out. Made for a more efficient use of my sim time.
