Oh, I am so happy to see this thread. Thank you @SimGuruDrake
1. I want the ability to adjust the toddler age. I want to be able to keep it as long as I like or age them up. So, I hope there will eventually be a slider in the game for all ages. Like in TS3. I love the long life option in this game and aging off. However, I could see using this slider for the toddler to age up when I was ready without me having to get a cake (if no party) and let them age up without my other family members aging up if that makes sense.
2. I want the toddler to be a big part of family life. Training (by all Sims in household), interactions like play patty cake, teach songs, their abcs, teach them to dance (hold hands while they stand and dance with them) (Hidden dance skill?)
3. I hope we would be able to someday edit public spaces so we can add toddler objects there like a hobby horse etc. So, when we see Sims out with their toddlers they can put their tots on these toys and play with them. I want the Sims to know there is a toddler on that toy. Unlike the Sim in the game now who can just stop playing with the kids on the pirate ship and they never know the adult has stopped.
4. I would like to see a public bathroom object to change toddlers in the bathrooms.
5. It would be great (someday) if we got back the Daycare career in Generations TS3. That was so much fun for me. It was great for parents to be late (haha I loved it) and bring more toddlers to my Sim's home when she was doing very well with them.
6. I would like to see play dates for toddlers. Parents could meet other parents and the tots could play together (autonomously). Some fighting could occur like fighting over a toy or a bottle. Lecture should come back to the game not only for toddlers but when kids misbehave. I know we have it now, but it really doesn't influence the child to change traits...like it did in TS2's encourage.
7. I want the toddler to be the 'baby' you know, everyone (if they are the baby of the family) spoils and or despises the baby, don't they? >:) It would be up to gurus how to make that happen. I think they could come up with some pretty good ideas other than just 'spoil' and or hate new baby brother.
8. There are so many objects for toddlers these days I want to see them in the game. To keep them out of toilets (but if loose they could destroy one, lol) and keep them safe while mom is busy. But if not in home they should really get into all sorts of stuff. Like eat spoiled food, pull up on couches and chairs and take a tumble and scream and cry and have to be comforted for falling etc.
So. so much they could do to bring it to life. I hope they will.
