Ideas for careers and majors to choose from in university thread

This thread is for deciding what careers and majors should be added to the sims 4: University

I liked the majors better in the sims 2 as opposed to sims 3 because they were more broad and made sense while the majors in sims 3 were clumped together in one category. Example is sims 2 giving the options of both a biology major and physics major while sims 3 clumped science and medicine together as a whole.

We need majors such as computers/technology, art, music, culinary, history, communications/speech, biology, physics, paranormal (which was in sims 2), drama, and bunch more you can add

Some careers I’d like to see added are occupations such as teacher, historian, physician, paleontologist, mortician, some paranormal related job, I’ll leave this open and give some ideas in this thread

  • I’d like to see a Psychology major and Therapist career option. A new therapy skill could go along with this, and Sims could talk through their problems with other Sims who
have high therapy skill. If your skill is high enough you could actually help to reshape Sims and teach them the skills they missed out on gaining in childhood (conflict resolution etc).
  • Going by ts3 using really simplified grouping

Arts Majors (performing arts, art, fashion)
Related careers: stylist, entertainer, painter branches, freelance artist, acting, comedian, gardener (florist), art critic, photography

    Culinary
Related careers: culinary, baking, food critic, running a restaurant, baker*

Sciences Majors (computer science, marine science, medicine)
Related careers: doctor, scientist, astronaut, gardener (botanist), tech guru, criminal (oracle), freelance programmer, fisherman, paranormal*

    Technology and Communications majors
Related careers: writer branches, freelance writer, social media, tech guru, freelance programmer, Politics, military

    Business majors (accounting, economics, law)
Related careers: business branches, criminal branches, politics (politician), lawyer*, running any business

    Physical science
Related careers: athlete, wellness skill, basketball skill, military, astronaut, therapist*, vet, doctor

I feel I could split them more into specific degrees (marine biology, plant biology, medicine, law, history, game development etc) but reckon ts4 will take a simplified approach to majors like 3 which only had like 5. I'd personally like 5 or 6 groups with a few options to specify.
