I spend a lot of time in games with multiple characters each with individual finances shuffling money around and robbing Peter to pay Paul.
I don't think adding that shuffle to the Sims would improve my enjoyment. Having to worry which sim was active when I pop into build buy to fix a lot or place new stuff? I can see it being a hassle. "Oh, rats - I was driving the toddler and he has no money at all. Back to Live... ".
I do have households played pretty much as roommates / boarders / paid companions as well... but still think I prefer my game finances streamlined.
Hmmmm, yes, I think there would be some players who might prefer it streamlined but wonder if that is simply from a familiarity standpoint. If they implemented this feature and made sure to make the sim selected be adjustable from within build/buy, might this be a feature you would consider?
