Sims can go off to work without my help. That's great.It is not possible, though, to send a few sims from the household out to the lounge or park, etc without a loading screen. So, if my parents want a little alone time, I can't send the kids to the park and then switch back to the parents without two loading screens. I don't think this is my issue alone, as others have stated they have been unable to do it. I'd like to see a "Send Sim" option in addition to a "Travel" option where I go along with my sims. Or, like with GTW work - set them to travel and then get the option to Join or Send Alone. Please, share your feedback on this.

I get what you mean. Send the kids off to the park, or library, etc., and they just disappear at the curb (like when they go to school) so that the parents can be alone at home. I think that would be a great idea! :) If you live in a neighborhood that has a kiddie park nearby in the public areas, you can send them there to play. Too bad we can't edit the public areas to add objects for all Sims to enjoy and give them something to do other than grill and eat food. Hopefully future neighborhoods will provide more new venue types and come with more or bigger lots that we can build to suit.

Sometimes bigger households can be a handful. It'd be nice to have the option to send some off for a bit while you focus on one or two. Even if there's a park in the neighborhood, there is still a loading screen to deal with if the sims are going to use anything on that lot.

I'd love this. It would make playing larger households feel fuller, since I wouldn't feel like I'm having to hold back someone's fun for someone else's sake.

That's one of the things I loved about Sims 3-you could scatter your sims all over town, and jump from one to the other to see what they were getting up to. This would be a great feature for a University pack, I always thought Uni was kind of boring and repetitive, so it would be nice to play the rest of the family while the sim finished their studies.

I'm definitely pro open neighborhood. But as long as the world is closed, I'd like this option. :)

You could just leave the kids home and they could do stuff there. You won't be controlling them directly either way.

Its one draw back of not having open worlds like in the Sims 3 that you can't switch back and fourth between sims on the fly without waiting.

And that is what I usually do. The kids were just an example, though. There are still a lot of other circumstances where it would be nice to send a sim out of the house without having to deal with a loading screen. Like, sending them to visit family in another lot across town so I know they're possibly building relationships with the other family, etc. Or sending the adults out, or any number of other scenarios.

Yes, I can just do that but I would like to have this other option, also. :smile:

Maybe they should work on trying to make all the neighbourhoods intertwine to make an open world, it wouldn't be as large a town as The Sims 3 but at least there'll be less work and more people happy.

I completely agree, they need to add this option, it should be called "Send Sim to" or something like that, so you can just focus on a certain Sim that you want to focus on during that day

Open neighborhood would be nice. Seems silly to have a loading screen just to visit your next door neighbor.
