My Create an Object (CAO for short) Idea

Hey again everyone!

So I've posted this idea before. @Karon made a discussion a while back on what the next iteration should include.
You can check Karon's discussion and find the original comment on my idea here:
https://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/946571/lets-discuss-sims-5-project-06-new-game-modes/p1

The idea is to create a feature/system for the next iteration that allows players to create their very own objects!
Similar to My Sims' Carpentering System, but far more advanced in graphics, mechanics, and selections.

Want a Bed for your regular Sims that looks exactly like a coffin?
How about a chair that looks like a torture device?
Maybe a levitating table, an upside-down ceiling fan, a wall mounted computer, a sculpture that defies the laws of physics?
Or maybe you just want that purple tiger sculpture dressed in a french maid's outfit holding a golden platter to set your Sim's items down on while having it function as a chair.

You can do that! And more!
Create your very own object by using shapes, dimensions, textures, patterns, the color wheel, then give it a purpose by selecting what kind of object it is and how your Sims will use it!
You can even save your created object for your other Sims to purchase in Buy Mode and even share your work in The Sims Gallery for all to admire and download!
Perfect for custom content creators and designers.
Of course; EA and Maxis will still give us more content in their future expansion packs and such, but they could also implement new ways for us to create our own content!

Plus, this is another idea, but how about we have the ability to implement custom Artwork for our Sims to paint and videos for our Sims to watch on their TV! Plus, we can even name the channel that will show our custom videos!

So what are your thoughts? Do you like these ideas?

As always,

Thank you for reading my post.

  • I feel like mods would have a field day. You could add cc to this and have it be interactive instead of clutter. Omg
  • You would need to get a base idea of what object you want added, what it does, how big it is, and get a artist to help you create it. Either that, or create a template that could create any specific item.
