Netz-à-porter – outfits ready to wear for your sims (no CC required)

In my opinion CAS is where The Sims 4 has made the biggest leap forward compared to the previous iterations. I have alot of fun making outfits and this is the place where I will post most of them from now on. Mainly because I always feel a bit awkward flooding threads with my CAS posts, when most people are interested in gameplay, but also because feedback has shown that there are a few forum members who appreciate a bit of inspiration. I use the pictures myself when I want to make a quick (townie!) makeover, so I think this is probably where this thread can come in useful for others.

Custom Content
We as a community know that we are blessed with some of the most creative and talented creators of custom content and mods in the world of video games. While I use a moderate amount of Maxis Match CC in my game, I will avoid CC in this thread for the most part with some exceptions:
- Poses: Unfortunately this is something CAS does not provide and the animations can become repetitive. Most of them are made by Helgatisha, Flower Chamber and Remaron. I do not make poses myself
- Skin replacement: I have one default skin replacement, which is Smootish II by Luumia. I do not use any other overlays etc

I will not be doing a lot of picture editing, as I would like to spend most of my time in CAS. The thread’s purpose is to help with outfits, perhaps an extension of the ‚Styled Looks‘ section in CAS, if you will. Also, I will be doing throwbacks to older packs and posts focussing on outfit categories.

    I don't actually think anyone will read this, given my thread ended up in The Sims Franchise part of the new forums, but this is more for my closure than for anything else, I suppose. As I had feared, the new forum was set up in the same framework as the EA forums and to me it is neither suitable for very long threads nor picture threads. This is just not for me, at the moment not even to browse as a silent reader as I had been doing for years on the previous forums. It is sad, because community became a big part of TS4 for me, even though I mostly stayed on the sidelines. Anyway, thank you, the positive feedback over the years meant everything and all the best!

    NetzspannungThis is indeed so sad, and to be fair infuriating. It's shameful the way EA has completely let this community down by disregarding any and all wishes we have for a forum, and not surprised that talented simmers such as yourself choose to leave. I have seen that there is a new forum being set up by simmers who like you cannot live with this one. Maybe that's somewhere you could feel more comfortable? You can find it here. 

     EA_Cade, are you seeing this??? EA_Nils EA_David Does EA care that the sims-forum is losing some of its most talented and dedicated simmers? When will the issues of this forum be addressed and why in the world did EA pick a forum platform that is so poorly designed for what it is used for? This is not only not user-friendly, this forum is directly user-hostile! (And no I'm not angry at you personally, but I am angry with EA for this. There must have been thousands and thousands of platform bases to choose from and yet this is what was picked).

    Focus: StrangerVille Female CAS items
    The items in this pack are inspired by folkloristic, western and country styles and therefore mix well with Jungle Adventure and City Living, but I have also found some nice pairings with Get Famous and older packs.

    If you're like me, you like to get out of your street clothes when you get home. And if you are not like me, you slip into a purple negligee or a satin morning gown. :D Anyway, here are some ideas for home /sleep wear for your sims that are casual and comfy. If you like some of these for your sims, remember to remove the "sleep" outfit category tag to find all the items.

    NetzspannungI am sorry to hear that. Your thread has always been a priceless inspiration and it will be missed.
    I can sympathize with your desire to give up when I think of the great work you have done to catalog all your tips and ideas for stylish sims, in the old Forum.
    You must know it has been greatly appreciated 🥰

    There are many of us here who are paralyzed by disappointment at the template this Forum offers us despite good intentions and promises. I'm just glad I've saved everything that's valuable to me on my own external website.
    I wish you the best of luck with whatever you come up with in the future, whether it's going to be about The Sims or something completely different 💖

    That is sad to hear but it makes a lot of sense. I'm going to miss your styling ideas. I've also found adjusting to the new format hard. My favourite sections no longer exist and I find it hard to find the speculation threads now.

    This is lovely. At this point there are so many options in CAS that I can get overwhelmed trying to figure out what pieces will work together. Having some inspiration going in could be very helpful. Especially for my stylist sim who just gained the ability to make other sims over.

    The Spooky Stuff pack is one of those controversial packs that is frequently mentioned as being one of the worst packs for TS4. It is limited in scope, of course, but that is a bit like saying that a raincoat is useless in sunny weather - it is useful for what it was made for. Anyway, I have to confess that I mainly got the pack for the gladiator sandals. I still love 'em and like to bring them back into focus. I had posted the 4 outifts in the top row before, but the others are new. The gladiator sandals are great for hot weather outfits and party wear.

    While dressing males in CAS, I often struggle with variety. I think it's because I have some favourite pieces that I think look good on all my hunks. :D But I did my best and I hope it shows, so without further ado, let's hear it for the boys!
