A male wannabe socialite turns up dead in an empty apartment, the sim police search for the killer and also deal with the wacky criminal cases along the way.
In many criminal cases I have learned that they are not all the same, some criminals have dealt with some kind of emotional trauma or emotional breakdown.
Today me and my team are in San Myshuno community investigating reports of pickpocketing in the Spice Market area, the community businesses are losing out on profit and not many sims are willing to come out and spend their simoleons at the community stalls.
We’ve gotten a good description from some business owners and customers, according to them it’s two male sims, one could be a teen and there other a young adult.
Detective Wales: Office Lovett, I need you to cover the area close to the stalls and Officer Parata, you’re a jogger this morning cover as much of the area you can and if you feel you need to catch your breath do so.
Detective Wales: Okay, let’s get out there, me I’ll cover the karaoke bar and the coffee shop.
At the coffee shop in San Myshuno
Detective Wales: I spotted one of the suspects walking east towards the spice market area leaving the coffee shop, stuffing something in his left coat pocket. After I arrested the suspect, he had 289 items in his inventory stolen in one day.
Detective Wales: Officer Parata was able to arrest the second suspect, who was trying to sell an old lady’s ring and watch he just stole.
At the Police Station
Detective Wales: Before I could start my interrogation on the two suspects, The Chief ask me to step in for her at the office for a few hours because she has a very important meeting she need to attend.
We arrived searching for fingerprints or anything that would show proof a fire was started by a stranger, what we found didn’t match to a break-in, there wasn’t any broken glass or anything to point to a break-in.
Officer Fassi: Detective Wales, have you ever been to a fake movie scene, well this one looks like one, why would a burglar leave a matchbook on the floor knowing we would check it for fingerprints and where is Ms. Ward.
10 minutes later someone exited that same apartment running after a loud sound could be heard coming from it, but at the time there was no tenants home, so no one heard the sound
Detective Keith Wales: I was able to track down Judith Ward, hiding in a random bar in Oasis Springs alone, before I could approach her, she exited the bar fast. The fact of seeing her here show proof she is hiding the truth of what happen that day at her house, I'll just keep an eye on her until we can get more evidence of what happen that day.
Detective Keith Wales: The Chief just informed me there was enough evidence that Ms. Judith Ward filed a false report, and I was given the okay to arrest her.
Detective Keith Wales: Ms. Ward was arrested and book for false reports of a break-in and her actor friends who went along with her scam was arrested also.
Sergeant McDonald: Well, that’s nice, I’m hoping he gets here soon to finish the job. We need to find out who the victim was with the night he was killed.
Some find their significant others who will bring them happiness, money and some bring loneliness; a person’s face can tell you what love has brought them.
When family and friends hear that someone is dead that they care about a flood of emotions hit and things that appeared strange before their death become evidence.
Detective Wales: Mr. Arun Bheeda, Hello
Mr. Bheeda: Hello Detective Wales, my friend texted me around 12:00 am asking for money.
The police station started to get all kinds of leads that can help solve the case. Today I’m meeting up with a friend of the victim Arun Bheeda who stays in the neighborhood. He and the victim became friends while working together for a short time at Quality Assurance. The day before the victim death he received an urgent text message from the victim appearing desperate for money, but with Mr. Bheeda and his wife expecting a baby there was very little he could help the victim with.
Victim: I’m sorry for texting you so late, I owe someone money and I was hoping you could help me; I was hoping you could help me out, I need to borrow 2,000.00
Arun: I’m afraid I won’t be able to help you, me and my wife are expecting a baby.
Victim: Yeah, ah… these are dangerous people I owe
Arun: Are you alright, I don’t have that kind of money on me.
Arun Bheeda: I’m sad his no longer with us and finding out he was killed a build away from where I stay is sad.
Arun Bheeda: All we want is Justice Detective
Detective Wales: We will find who is responsible.
I took a screenshot of the text messages and sent it to Sergeant McDonald, it so happens she in the neighborhood, she found out the victim have a half-brother who stay in Windenburg.
I’m always happy to see my friends but I wish they would have showed up at a better time when my daughter wasn’t sleeping, and the expression on my wife’s face let me know she not happy about them visiting so late.
Thorne Bailey: I have some important information and I felt it would be safer if I came to the police station and gave it to you there.
Keith Wales: Okay, let me talk to my wife first and see what I can do.
My wife must have overheard our conversation, maybe standing outside of the gym door listening, because within a few minutes she stormed into the room upset about what we were talking about.
Keith Wales: No, you’re not alone, you and Pearl will have someone here to assist you, I’ll hire a nanny and they will make sure my lovely wife and daughter is cared for.
Keith Wales: I promise you I’ll be here before our son is born and after our son is born, baby don’t worry okay.
I called my job and informed them that Thorne Bailey may have a lead on the murder case and felt it would be safe if he met me at the police station tomorrow, my boss was okay with that and allowed me to push my vacation date back two days.
Chief Aiken: I think someone in our department is leaking information to the press about the murder case and many other cases the police are working on.
Detective Wales: Someone here?
Chief Aiken: I’m sure they have.
Detective Wales: How long do you think this has been happening?
Chief Aiken: I don’t know, but how about you find out.
It’s been 7 days since the killing of our victim, shortly after the killing someone have been sharing personal information regarding the case, I’m sure they were offered money for any information on this case and maybe other cases.
Detective Ready was able find out who was leaking information about our murder victim, and we learn that the victim photo was leaked to someone who go by the name Partner, Officer Ready believe this could be the one who killed him.
Police Station: Meeting with Thorne Bailey
I got a text from Thorne Bailey that he was here at the police station waiting for me, but I didn’t see him anywhere around. I text him back and told him I didn’t see him I’m here standing in the police lobby.
Thorne Bailey: I don’t want to deal with the press seeing me here in the police station, I don’t want them to think I’m using the police station for famepoints like Judith Ward that nut case.
Thorne Bailey: The victim worked for me the day before he died, me and my son learned he paid one of our employees to allow him to work his shift and that night we had a new floor manager who wasn’t familiar with the staff yet, so he didn’t know, and we had a few new hires also.
Detective Wales: Who is the employee he paid to work his schedule.
Thorne Bailey: Clinton McCray, he also stays in the same apartment building where the victim was murdered.
