Hello lovely people. A Sims 4 neophyte here (apologies in advance). A classmate suggested I use this game to learn how to build and design as I don’t begin my CAD course until next year. I have a MacAir from previous employment, I know it’s not ideal. Any advice, suggestions, even mentor suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you from a humble novice.
Welcome! You would probably be better off looking for videos on YouTube. Lots of simmers upload there with tutorials, hints and tips etc and you can search for exactly the type of thing you want and then watch it without trying to decipher someone's written instructions. Then, if there are specifics you need clarified after you could always drop back here to ask.

I can only add to the suggestion to look for videos, by suggesting you take notes. Some of the roof information can be tricky, depending on just what you're doing. Rather than have to stop midway through a build to relook up something, you can refresh the information via your notes. (I say this from personal experience.) I love to build, I find it relaxing.
