Agreed. The character is what makes the situation bearable. That's the challenge with room stories, without a good plot and character, it's sim cruelty.
I just nominated "Derelict" for next week! Because a) I've been wanting to nominate it, b) today's chapter is so awesomely beautiful (I know I overuse "awesome" like I overuse tamari, but the whole idea of "awe" fits this week's chapter), c) it will be super neat to read two Room Challenges in a row, and d) we had room for a short piece for next week. Yay!
