On Vacation EP Idea (Two New Worlds- Keewee Island & Aurora Heights)

So many of us want beaches, and with some disappointment that it didn't make it into Seasons it makes sense, since beaches are more of a summer destination where people go to escape the cold lol. The Gurus wanted weather and the changing seasons to be the main star, which I fully respect and support. And instead of making a copy of Island Paradise 2.0 for TS4, a vacation-themed EP with unique new vacation experiences would be a great addition in a future expansion, wouldn't you agree?

On Vacation could introduce two new vacation worlds (each the size of Selvadorada). One world has a tropical beach paradise atmosphere, while the other has a snow-capped mountain wonderland atmosphere. These worlds would include 3 to 4 district areas each filled with new unique experiences and hours of gameplay to keep our sims busy for a full 3 day/5 day/7 day vacation fun-packed week.

World & Neighborhood- Keewee Island
Keewee Island is heavily based on a variety of tropical and mediterranean vacation getaways from around the world like the Virgin Islands, the Bahamas, Bermuda, Hawaii, and also features elements of Hawaiian and Jamaican culture throughout the island. Keewee Island is divided into four neighborhoods- Tropico Resort, Crystal Beach, Paradise Pier and Siren Isle. Keewee Island has a total of 4 residential lots, 6 vacation lots, and 5 community lots.

Tropico Resort is a lavish hotel that sits in front of Crystal Beach. Tropico Resort includes the Sunrise Suites and Sunset Suites that can accommodate up to 4 households per wing of the resort. Tropico Resort is also comprised of 1 community lot- Aquatico Waterpark complete with wave pool, lazy river, racing mat slide, tube slide, and the Surf's Up Wave Machine where our sims can practice their skills on a surfboard. Sim's can also hit the dance floor at the Tropico Dance Club, hit the bar at the lounge, or get VIP Passes at the rooftop club.

Crystal Beach is the largest community lot and includes three vacation lots (in which one sits high atop Breaks Cliff that overlooks Siren Isle in the distance. At Crystal Beach sims can play Frisbee (including dogs), Beach Volleyball, enjoy a Luau with a roast pig, fire dancing, and hoola dancing, sun bathe, build sand sculptures, collect seashells and find buried treasures guarded by skeletal pirates, swim in the ocean, and go fishing for new species of fish that our sims can either cook with or keep as a pet.

Paradise Pier is packed with fun for sims of all ages. Sims can try new cuisine at food vendors and learn new seafood recipes, pay our some simoleons at midway games to try and win a oversized Freezer Bunny, Plumbob Balloons, and other unique prizes, or venture on some thrilling amusement rides like a Ferris Wheel, Chair Swing, Tilt-o-Whirl, Bumper Cars, or Looping roller coaster. Paradise Pier also offers our sims the option to purchase a luxury yacht or vacation on customizable houseboats.

Siren Isle is home to the sirens aka merfolk. Don't venture too close to the shore or the sirens can work their alluring magic causing your sim to crash on the reef. If stranded on Siren Isle your sim needs to find ways to survive while stranded waiting for rescue, or befriend the merfolk and be invited to explore their underwater home by being transformed into a siren. Learn a new spell presented to you by the Siren Queen, collect artifacts from the ruins of the underwater lot, and dare your sim to swim into the Krak Cavern, home to the kraken.

World & Neighborhoods- Aurora Heights
Aurora Heights is a brand new world that is based on snow-capped mountain retreats with the best views of the Northern Lights. Aurora Heights contains several social hotspots that offer several winter-themed activities for sims to enjoy. Aurora Heights includes three neighborhoods and a community district with a total of 15 lots.

The Alps is an exclusive neighborhood located in Aurora Heights. It is a private ridge-top vacation neighborhood with the best views of the Northern Lights next to the Crystal Lake Hot Springs. The vacation lots are spread across the ridge overlooking the town of Aurora Heights, surrounded by snow-capped cliffs and a forbidden ice cave home to the ferocious yeti. The only way down the mountain is by snowmobile traveling.

Oberview is Aurora Heights ski resort where sims can rent a cabin on the luxurious property, take skiing lessons, gather around the fire sipping hot chocolate sitting on a bearskin rug, or hit the slopes whether it be skiining, sleighing, snowtubing or snowboarding.

Tavern Town is a neighborhood where tourists and locals converse amongst each other while eating at fine dining, drinking at the Bearded Moose Tavern, or shopping for winterwear.

  • It amazes me how creative people really are. I’m a fan of tropical locations, so your idea is the Keewee Island really took to my liking. I never thought about having a colder destination/vacation spot. It could certainly be interesting.
  • This sounds like so much fun the events activities skills i want all of it in my game now. Really good ideas

Thank you. I live in a tourist/vacation town. Pigeon Forge, Tennessee if you ever heard of it? People from all over the world travel here because of the Smoky Mountain National Park, moonshine, live music, the food, and of course, Dollywood. So vacationing can be any destination. People who live near the beach come up here in the winter to ski and experience the snow, while those of us who live here travel to the beach in the summer. So, when vacationing... it can be anything, but island getaways and beaches are the most requested so it would definitely need to be in a vacation-themed pack.
