One Block Challenge

It was great reading about how you went with the challenge!  🙂 It was great seeing the end result after your simself just started by being in a block! It was good that your sim earned money by selling selfies, and the discovery quests were very helpful. 

Here I am again with s new update of my One Block Challenge!  Also, this thread got mentioned in the AHQ April Highlights and I'm super thankful for that! ❤️

We ended the previous update with a cozy, small little house that I can actually call a home, but I have no money anymore so I temporarily got rid again of the stove.

Suddenly, a new discovery quest pops up...

Oh, and a second one! Well, we suddenly have a lot to do! Since writing books makes good money in the long run, I decided to pick the bestselling author aspiration.

My Simself needs a computer, and I thought, a library must have one, right? She traveled there with a friend she made. My Simself apparently is really good at making friends.

Great, we found a computer! Now she can work on a promotion.. To get more money. 

While at work, my Simself got a call from an unknown number, asking her if they could crash over for a while. I mean... We don't have much, but sure!

Meet Moe Takagi, the pizza delivery girl from the previous chapter xDDD

Thanks for the free suitcase, hehe.

I decided to improve my Simself's mischief skill on Momoe, and to my surprise, Momoe and my Simself's friendship bar is improving faster than I thought!

(Momoe) "What are you doing?"

(Simself) "Planting the apple I just bought on the store!"

Only to realise it is out of season, haha.

My simself went back to the library to work on her aspiration for a while. She's currently writing her first book!

She also self-published the book. Little extra incomings, here we come!

The next day, my Simself received a promotion.

But now she desperately needed some fun.

She went to the library to watch a movie.

Halfway into the movie, she received a call about a fortune... I'm skeptical, but also interested.

Apparently this was the right choice cause suddenly we have a bank account of over 3000 simeleons!!

Time for an upgrade!!

Ah, so not all discovery quests give money. Good to know!

The Inspired Potion came in handy for our aspiration goal. Back to the library (since I don't have enough for a laptop yet)

Off to writing even more books!

Another tiny source of incomes is plants!! Indoor plants grow through the entire year, so that's why I placed these pots here.

(Momoe) "You are such a weird person..."

(Simself) "Well you are crashing here for free so don't you dare laughing."

Oh, right, I almost forgot. Vlad broke into my tiny cosy home.

This is the first time in my entire life of playing Sims that this happens to my Sims.

Poor SImself xD

Well, this is where I end the update for today! I'd say I progressed quite a bit ^^

It was great to read the update! 🙂 Your sim is progressing well!  Congratulations to her on receiving the fortune! It would have given her also a surprise when Vlad invaded her home ☹️ It is great that her book writing is going well. 

I am already back with another update! I might have played a bit too much 😇

My Simself doesn't seem too bothered with what happened last night. I mean, she has an uncomfortable mood, but for now, her happy moods overpower.

Went to the library again and there is the uncomfortable mood. Poor Simself.

After buying the laptop my Simself could finally afford, it was time to sleep the draining off.

All is finally great again. There's even a Sim playing violin outside! Stupid NAPs xD

Aaaand we're back without a stove since we can't afford to replace this one.

We'll look at the damages tomorrow lol.

Looks like for now she's fine eating snacks.

While at work, my Simself got yet another discovery quest.

So after work, we quickly went to this place to meet a new sim.

I have no clue what his name is, but this is my Simself's newest friend.

(Simself) "Hot hot hot hot hot hot"

Probably the man now is thinking my SImself finds him hot.

(Woman) "You're not really good with hot food, are you?"

(Simself) "Haaaa... Not at all!!"

Wait, is that a Servo in the background?

Whoa, it is! Lets become acquaintances before going home again.

Ahh more potions. That's a bit disappointing.

I turned the plants and the stove is still broke.

The next day, my Simself bought a gardening book.

She couldn't read much though cause Moe came over. Ah, wait, I got an idea. It's neighbourhood brawl.

I made them fight, haha.

Didn't affect their relationship one bit, lol. Okay Moe, you can be my friend. You're a real one.

Suddenly my Simself gets a call... From Brytani Cho! I think we'll give this acting a try!

I am not really sure anymore where I got the money from, but I was able to fix the stove. I probably got my book-money.

I also added this.. I don't know the right word... Floor elevation? xD 

Also this so that we can work on the fitness skill! I mean, we can also jog, but this is more fun.

(Simself) "I don't even like fitness... Why did I accept this career again?"

For money, duh!

Okay, you can also write a bit more.

Finally, plant-money!

Also finished up another book, so more book-money is incoming too!

My Simself passed her fist audition, so now it's time to make sure she preps well.

That's for another update, though.

Aside from a few more additions and a stove that has to be replaced, I didn't progress much, but I had lots of fun!

It wasn’t great that your sim had the fire happen! ☹️ The stove really got burnt! I am glad though that the whole home didn’t burn down. Congratulations to her on getting the call to enter the acting career! I hope that her new career goes well. 

Welcome back to the next update of my One Block Challenge!

My Simself is getting a bit lonely, so she texted Moe.

That didn't do much to her social need lol, but at least she gained book-money!

My Simself's other friend, Ai (yes, Ai is their name), invited her to the lounge to see someone famous. I mean, I need to get this social skill up, so let's go!

That famous person seems to be Thorne Bailey.

For some reason, my Simself was able to introduce herself to Thorne xD Meanwhile someone else just fainted at the sight of Thorne. Is it because my Simself is an actor?

I gave Thorne a little tiny make-over. Well.. That's... A little better. He still has facial hair but I think I made it lighter xD

It's a pleasant conversation, but some photographer is taking pictures. Hopefully Octavia Moon won't get jealous if these two end up on the cover of the newspapers.

Thorne left a while later, and suddenly the entire lounge was empty. Well, except for my Simself and Ai. After talking a bit with Ai, my Simself also went back home.

She still has some prep tasks to finish.

This is painful.

While my Simself was weeding her plants, Vlad came by for a second time, but this time he didn't get in the house.

Lets follow her along for this first gig!

They did her hair and make-up...

Then she got into her costume.

HAHA. I laughed out loud.

Yep, this was honestly amazing xD

Not bad!!

I was able to place the bed in an actual bedroom, and I also moved the cheerleading mat to inside. It kinda looks like a green carpet.

My Simself already accepted a new gig and she has to get into level 3 of fitness to pass the auditions. Oh, wait, I see that the toilet broke.

Lets fix this and then gain the last bit of experience to level up in the Fitness Skill.

Amazing!

Back to writing books.

It's only 30 simeleons every day, but its something!

I think my Simself is doing so well.

30 simeleons a day from flowers, almost 200 for her books, and her first gig was worth 468 simeleons so we can only go up from there!

Moe came by to wish her friend good luck for her auditions.

She was still here when my SImself came back, she passed!

Oh boy, now we gotta work on the acting skill too...

But Thorne also invited us to go to a concert!

Needless to say, she went to the concert and apparently it was amazing (I didn't see a thing of it, it was a rabbit hole).

One last book before calling it a day.

Oh wow, with the new book published, we gained 358 simeleons just from books!! I knew this was the right thing to do.

After an entire day of prepping, it was time for the next gig. This time I didn't join, I'm lazy and I just want the end result, haha!

The end result is 475 simeleons!

Tiny upgrade, a couch and a little TV.

Jeez, give me a break, man. I'm starting to dislike the acting career, lol.

She got herself a tricky new gig where she has to get into level 5 of Charisma by tomorrow 12PM. Oh boy.

And Throne just invited my Simself over to his home! Of course we need to go now.

We can still work on the skill in this mansion xD Will my house one day look like this?

My Simself made herself at home.

Maybe a bit too much.

Okay, definitely too much xD

(Simself) "I think I'm going to reach level 5 of the Charisma Skill right here. I think I can still make it!"

Meanwhile me, watching this beautiful sight through the window.

With only 14 more minutes on the clock, she made it!

(Simself) "Thanks so much for letting me stay here so I could finish my skill! I owe you!"

(Thorne) "No problem man, but you better nail that audition now."

She made it! But she's in a really hungry state, and these prep tasks look like a lot...

While eating, my SImself thinks it would be a good idea to invite the other stars over to her place. They can practice together!

My Simself didn't really like the one with too much blush (Bayani), although they should have a good compatibility xD The one behind her (Tamati) only seemed to be there for the food.

So, she decided to practice her acting skills with the third guy: Nimuel. Not that she liked him, but he was the only one not screaming at her or not eating all of her food.

We got one tiny problem. My Simself came to the conclusion she hates acting.

(Simself) "Thank you for staying until all scenes were rehearsed. If it wasn't for you, I'd probably failed the gig tomorrow, like, horribly."

(Nimuel) "You're actually pretty good you know, but you miss some kind of... Passion. Think about that. Anyways I think I'll head home for now. See you on set tomorrow."

Niguel's words made my Simself think if this is really the career she wants to follow. The money is good, but I can feel she's not happy like this.

On the other hand, books and flowers do make her happy!

(Simself) "Ahh... Finally finished. Now I got time to get myself happy again."

And with that we mean, let's play some games!

In the evening, my SImself went to her audition and made some GREAT money, but she also really needs to sleep right now. So, whatever we will do with all this money, is for the next update. See you then!

It was great reading the update! 🙂 The costume that she wore for her first gig was fun to see! It is great that her auditions are going well, and that she has been able to reach the required levels in the skills needed for her career. Perhaps she may though eventually give up her acting career because she hates it ☹️

The view from the window of her home is lovely!
