Open world=Lag
The open world and create a style is part of the reason why sims 3 lagged so much.

So open world causes lag yet I have just filled a night club with 40 Sims (In TS3) as well as a few NPCs and not one bit of stuttering and when I hit save, it saved in under a minute.
Its all about your PC, if you have a good PC (One from after 2010) you wont have these issues. EA should have sussed this out by now
