I would much rather have fans that actually cool sims.
They should be able to do both if allowed to oscillate. It wouldn't be that hard to code into the object. "Dannydanbo;c-16745280" wrote:

Ceiling fans don't oscillate or they would fall from the ceiling due to vibrations. It doesn't matter how fast or slow it spins or if it oscillates or not. All that matters is if sims "feel" the air moving and get cooled, which, currently, the don't.
This is why simulations are left out of TS4. Because it doesn't matter, as long as a Sim gets a buff? :s- pinneduphair7 years agoSeasoned AceI'd like the option to turn it off, at least.I don't use it in my houses, because the fact that it spins 24/7 bugs me after a while. Especially with Seasons installed. Even if it doesn't actually cool your sims, it's weird to have the ceiling fan on in Winter.

I Have agreed.
They need to improve the ceiling fan what that's will be not hard to code."hyrulerose;c-16745343" wrote:

Not really, you can turn them to run counter clockwise, that can help spread the warm air down to you instead of the hot air rising. It will push it back down."Dannydanbo;c-16744830" wrote:

Ok, but that's not a very common practice nonetheless.
