My newest build is a very large Farmhouse Retreat, built for Granite Falls. I wanted a place where my large sim family could go on vacation and build pretty much any skill the game has to offer. I was having a hard time finding something available on the gallery (though I just did a gallery search, not one on the forums) that included all/almost all skill items, was big enough for a large family, and looked like a rustic building that belongs in a campsite area.
So, I built this farmhouse. It got so large that there wasn't as much outdoor space left as I would have liked, but I was still able to fit playground items for both toddlers and children. Which was awesome.
The house is available on the gallery here: https://www.thesims.com/en_GB/gallery/6E3D60C8A18D11E7818AB5F2B29B385F?category=all&searchtype=ea_origin_id&sortby=downloads&time=all&searchquery=OXSEASHELLXO&max=50&maxis=false
View of the front and the back of the house.
View of the Foyer and Great Room (this is a sunken Great Room, so if you download the house, do not delete the TV and replace with one on the wall. Your sims will not be able to use it.)
View of the kitchen with eat-in dining and high chairs for two toddlers.
Four of the six total bedrooms (including the toddler room. There are 4 double beds, 2 single beds and 2 toddler beds total.)
The toddler room:
The kid's room:
Gorgeous outdoor space (yes there is a campfire right next to a fireplace, your sims are vacationing in granite falls they need the opportunity to build the herbalism skill, but the fireplace when they're not interested)
The basement! A huge twist from the main levels of the house. Recently renovated, the heavy stone walls have been painted. Some were left exposed painted brick and others have drywall and paint. Making this basement super light and cheery. The rec room is awesome if I were a child again, I'd totally play don't wake the llama here.
Other basement skill rooms include, a painting studio, a gym and a spa (sauna not pictured)
More skill rooms in the basement. Top two show the science laboratory, bottom left pic shows the music/karaoke room. Bottom right picture is actually from the attic and shows the teen party room (bubble blower not pictured).
Included in the house, but not pictured is a study on the main floor and a semi-empty laundry room - just waiting for the washer and dryers, but you could put something small there instead.
Most of the bathrooms are my specialty bathrooms - I call them my "no embarrassment rooms" where the sinks are in the first room, the toilet is in its own room, and the shower/tub are in their own room. This way, if a sim walks in to use the toilet, they don't walk in on a sim using the shower. It works really well for me
